Did a Guristas 4/10 and it struggles with range lasers (radio and sentry drones 418 DPS), but when I took the initiative and fit multi frequency. + medium hammerhead drones I get 511 DPS and using the afterburner to get proper range it quickly dispatched the cruisers easily so that's what I went with, but what has been your experience.

At the moment I cannot use T-2 laser turrets and am using heavy modulated pulse with imperial navy multi frequency and imperial navy radio.

Rigs are medium energy collision acc, medium nano acc, medium explosive

A better fit I need.

Things to consider around Guristas:

1) Guristas are weakest to kinetic, followed by thermal, explosive, and finally EM.

2) While all laser crystals deal EM and thermal damage, short range crystals skew thermal and long range skew EM.

3) Ergo, if you must use lasers against Guristas, ensure you can use short range crystals (that is, use beams and extend your native range as much as possible without switching crystals).

4) Kinetic drones are better than thermal drones here despite thermal having higher raw damage.

5) A range bonus to lasers is neat and all but it hardly locks you in to using lasers. Any gun is basically viable on a Stratios.
