CCP Selling Ship & Skill Packs?

I know there will be a lot of contention against this idea, but like another game not to be mentioned, wouldn't be a great step two for new players that want to buy Skill & Ship packages?

Lets say I'm a new player running an Alpha clone account and decide I want to fly a Bomber with perfect skills.
CCP offers a Manitcore Package for PLEX that comes with a pre-loaded and defined skill injector.

Each Pre-Defined injector can be just like they are on the market, but as pilots extract skills into a Bomber injector, the skills required to fill the skill requirements are filled up one at a time. Perhaps the Pre-defined skill injectors have no losses outside of the losses of someone already having some of the skills associated with the ship. This would be to offset the fact that the injectors are for specific ships instead of specific skills.

Maybe its 6.5m skill points to fly a Bomber with perfect skills. A pilot can extract those 6.5m SP all at once to fill the Injector.
Put it on the market. Then there is a new market for specific ships.

Would save time for everyone and potentially be a great way to get people into a ship quickly.

I would be interested in learning what the CCP economist would say about this.

now you've gone and done it CCP InMotion.. if this happens the game as we know it is dead. Though CCP has proven they can get to that level, -here's a lot of room for micro transactions in the alpha model.

Eve should think more in the way ships and packs that do odd things in eve like a type of reaver class ships that can catch ships rip them up and salvage there mods.. Mod packs with them for these reasons. things like this you know.

I should say they of course should be sold as blue prints so they can get popped and rebuild again but only so many runs you know.

CCP Zinfandel would love this, he's fearless.

You mean EXTRACTOR. Because you're saying that pilots would still have to extract their skills to fill up the bomber extractor to make it into an injector.

So you basically want to get rid of the penalty for skill injectors, and offset that by removing the freedom you have to inject whatever skills you want.

Shrug. Personally I would just ask CCP to reduce the skill injector penalties. Take a look at it and determine whether the current penalties are still appropriate, now that we're past the opening day glut of people trying to remake their characters.

But your idea is ok too; it's up to CCP to agree with it or not. The only issue that I see that you're not dealing with is the lack of supply; there is a HUGE demand for any type of skill injector, and not enough supply, even with farm alts. You're creating variety, you're not increasing the supply (nor decreasing the demand).

Notice how you have zero up-votes for this idea. There is a reason, this would actually kill EVE. C'mon man. Think.

No, and I'll tell you why. All that character sell shilling crap is worthless. It makes CCP more money, so I get why they did it. This will also make them more money, but in the end, both objects are counter to the point of MMOs, the journey.

If anyone has the jealousy feels because they started the game later and therefore aren't doing anything new, welcome not only to eve for anyone who started in 2006 or later, but also to real life. Other people have gone before you. There's a Tao saying "if you try to outshine others you only dim your own light".

It is impossible to catch up with people that have gone before you, and you should not try. You should try to become your own thing. Enjoy the journey, because an MMO sandbox is as filled with possibilities as it is pointless in the end.

Everyone wants to be that "first!", or failing that, to be competing as "first!" with others.

Anyone who buys these things to catch up is only fooling themselves because they're cutting out the journey. It'd be sort of similar to me buying a video game for 60 extra dollars to see the ending credits.

I'm sure there's plenty of people out there who are perfectly fine with paying RL money to bypass "the troublesome grind of actually playing a game", and that's fine. But for most of you, it will rob you of the entire point of playing a game.

Don't kid yourselves. Even the dirtiest pirates from the birth of EVE have been carebears. They use alts to bring them goods at cheap prices and safely, rather than live with consequences of their in game actions on their main, from concord to prices
