No man, I saw what NC. did to Horde and had to say something. It has far less to do with supers and more to do with a toxic culture who thinks they can have a monopoly on fun. When you take advantage of new players and pigeon hole them into a cannon fodder alliance like horde, and then take away their content by force at the push of a button, you are a crappy, giant troll who deserves no respect and needs to be called out on the bs.

The other part of this is calling them out for creating yet another BIG BLUE DONUT WHERE NOTHING SUBSTANTIAL EVER DIES. It is risk aversion on a macro scale.

I don't want to lose anything expensive so I am going to get buddy buddy with anyone who can inflict damage upon me and go beat up on all the little guys. It's cancer and should be named as such.

But it's always been that way.

In fact, it's always been the same guys doing it, they just get re-branded once in a while.

Everyone needs peasants to flog once in a while, the NC./PL bloc just have a system for recruiting their own. It's not really much different from the GBC is it, they got shat on all the time, again just re-branded.

I'm totally middle class btw

MP - we're playing political and economic simulator, set in space, some people fly them.

Supers are the equivalent of nuclear weapons in RL, a deterrent used to leverage diplomatic relationships with little tactical application. It's a simple fact that preventing the proliferation outside of direct political control secures those currently in power, what motivation exists to give this up?

In RL, you could appeal to the people of a country to rise up against their evil nuke wielding government or you could usurp said government through political channels. Either which way, whatever the result, there would still be a stockpile of nukes sitting around. What are you going to do? Hand them round to everyone and say 'we're all equal now, here do what you want with this' or just fire them into the Sun and allow your rivals to hold all of the cards? No, i don't think so.

Back to the game, supers only have tactical value in a few circumstances. You're in FW, they don't fit in medium plexes, they can't kill your stations or influence the WZ, however the strategic deterrent will stop you from fielding large cap fleets within jump range of an entity that has them. Plenty of options to mitigate this tbh.

None of this has ever changed, there's always been a bogeyman keeping everyone else in check until an entity rises to topple them, since everyone got space aids it's just a bit more local now.

TL:DR: This is all just about Supers, did you buy one and Snuff rejected your application or something?

"Stop playing the game this way I don't like it wah!".

This is how you sounded just right now. Show us on your alt where you got hotdropped.

This has nothing to do with me, the last time I was hotdropped was weeks ago. If I was mad about it don't you think I would have posted long before now?

You obviously do not understand why this post was made. What fun is it to blue everyone in sight? Leaving the only targets to be people who cannot hope to match you. That is cowardice on a huge scale.

Eve is a game of conflict but sadly all the bitter vets from 2003 who came up together and founded all these megablocs are like some form of sick twisted college fraternity, never fighting each other only hazing the little guy. It's not healthy for the game at all.

Welcome to the real world in every form. What happens in real life will ALWAYS work its way into games of every sort.Twisted

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

It works very well, at least after the Alliance Tournament.

Horde FCs were asked by leadership not to feed capitals. A Horde FC decided to feed capitals. The Horde FC got spanked. Hilarity ensued.

Probably an alt of a toon in a major powerbloc.

Yea, I'm calling all of you out for your coalitions, and your batphones, and your buddy systems.

Smash some space ships together and make things explode.

You have NO response to what I said because I roasted them ALL!

They are arrogant and what NC. did to Horde proves they believe they can monopolize fun. It's not just them either and I am calling

them out on it!

Well, tbh. Galmil would play the same powerbloc game (and have been trying hard) if were not for some alliances like Bebop being unable to play nicely with any other big entity in the area to the great frustration of the other Galmil alliances. Rapid withdrawal as an example does cooperate with snuff, so why did you not mention this? OP is naive to think the rest of Galmil would not do this if they had the social competence to do so. So basically this rant does not present a sincere wish of change in the meta, but rather frustration based on envy of other people are able to play the game efficiently.

The entire history of EVE online has been an intricate game of whoever happens to be on top at the time. The most recent being the destruction of the imperium. It has been nothing more than the self-proclaimed elite pvp gods of EVE in any random nullsec power bloc they happen to be in to control new players before they have the chance to set out and try and create their own sandbox

I feel so destroyed, I shall teach all our newbies about how we died a few months ago and are no longer existing on the map.

A rant is a post that is often filled with angry and counterproductive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and is helpful in development of the game and community. Rants are disruptive, and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise and clear manner while avoiding going off on rambling tangents.
