She was actually decked out in Sarum colors for the occassion, I think. As for original purpose and indignity... the Veldnaught's a singular legend. If I heard she was tackled somewhere nearby, I'd likely assemble a fleet from my alliance to save the ship. Being a legend is never an indignity.

Also, spirit. Who can say, really? If a person can be legendary at a task and yet absolutely hate every moment of doing that work, the same might apply to spirits too.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.
