Dual/Quad Weapons Use Smaller Charges

There are several weapons with multiple barrels of a smaller weapon size category. I have also noticed all turrets have a "Charges per Cycle" field which is always set at 1. It's bothered me how these weapons use the turret's weapon category's charges when in theory they wouldn't fit and using only 1 charge per volley. I suggest why not have these weapons use the ammo designated for the caliber of the barrels and use the amount of charges according to the number of barrels. For example Dual 250mm Railguns would use 2 medium hybrid charges per volley but still retain the large hybrid turret category for ship bonuses. I'm assuming this would be easy to implement by adjusting the charge category used and setting the "Charges per Cycle" field to 2 or 4.

Perhaps while doing this these weapons could also receive a look at their usefulness, as I've noticed with my limited experience in EVE, most of these multi-barreled weapons are never used.

This may not explain the other weapons that are different sizes within the same weapon size but I believe it will at least make things a little more interesting.

The weapons are more often not used because of limitations on range and DPS, compared to their counterparts. The larger variations are often not used because of their tracking, while having decreased RoF and no significant impact on DPS and Range.

tl;dr They are either not as versatile, or not capable of producing enough DPS.

I like the idea of multi-barreled weapons using appropriate ammunition. It suits their desination, and could improve their usefulness while increasing their rounds used. Dual 150mm Railguns or Dual 180mm Autocannons for example, both fall in the Small class for Ammunition usage; and there are Amarr weapons which fall into this category to.

It's really a negligible change in the grand scheme of things, and requires some work on the development side for such a small change by itself, that it is somewhat impractical. It would be interesting though.

Changes could be made to the weapons which allowed for the smaller rounds to be used, while adjusting the turrets for damage capability to bring them back in line with there class. Other changes could be made, to give them more usefulness.

Examples:

Dual 150mm Railguns could see decreased range and higher RoF for similar, (but still lower), DPS to their larger cousins, while maintaining better tracking capabilities.

Dual 180mm Auto Cannons could see range increases and a slight drop in DPS, while maintaining a similar RoF and better tracking.

It's a good idea, and I like it; but I don't expect it will hit the Devs plate for awhile yet, if at all.
