CCP now must listen
the new with rorq on the grid so destroys in it for miners and forcing them to lose their BOOST and being dependent on other player to sit there with them and people have said stop in our corp way introduce this, we lose our mines not only that cheated as do my 80 hours with boost just to get to their gametime so kill them now total ..
our mines have announced they stop eve if in carrying this out and then follow our pvp members and pve with we had a corp meeting about it and said we find a different game all together and play if not in coming up with a better solution for those the miners to mine 150 hours instead of the 70-80 hours they do now .. with boost
we do not know what your plan is, but it sucks to all others who do not have a rorq.

you should run this post by someone in your corp who can translate it because it makes no sense

is it tears that you have to have boosts on grid now or something else, im not sure

Maybe instead of mining for 80 hours to get gametime they start to do something else ?
This is not rant against mining but if someone goal is to get isk for game time then they need to do around 40milion daily.
40milion is a payout for completing a single heaven.
T1 battleship need 30minutes to complete a haven, this give us 15hours of ratting.
If you upgrade yourself to Faction battleship you reduce this time even more.
Going into bigger hulls reduce this time even more.

Assuming that someone is afraid of nullsec (we don't have rorquals in higsec so i guess this is not the issue).
Classical running of LVL 4 missions in higsec give you 50-60 million per hour.
Proper running burner missions put you at 120mi /h +
Lets not forget about incursions - where you can go up to 240mil /h

Please forward this information to your members.

i also wonder what sort of isk/hr you guys are making mining, 80 hours at 12mil/hr is near a bil isk, your miners only make 12mil an hour?

You should consider that if mass of people stopped mining because of this, mineral prices will eventually go up enough that you can earn reasonable ISK in comparatively similar hours spent on mining.

Also, if lots of people decide not to risk Rorq on belt and go on mining without the boosts, if you dare to mine with Rorq and have organisational skill and resources to secure the boost for your miners, you will have incredible advantage over people mining without boosts.

The changes kill easy/safe boost for miners, but any significant decrease in supply will be compensated for the miners when the market price adjusts. And for those who cna secure the on grid boost will reap great rewards and make more from mining than they do now.

I won't get into the issue of what Rorq should be or not as a ship balance issue, but from market perspective the changes will reward you greatly if you can adapt to it.

Cheers Love! The cavalry's here!

Since no one else says it.... Can I have all your members stuff? I mean you are threatening to quit a game over a much needed booster change, one that should make your PvP group much happier.

Seriously. This is only good news for competent miners as they will see an increase in the value of their ore. It is bad news for lazy, risk-averse miners however, but that is how a properly designed game should work.

Besides, you can use the Rorqual to boost without activating the Industrial Core to provide the best boosts in the game. If you do take the risk to activate the Core, you are locked in place but significant increase your yield even beyond that. You now have to decide how much you are willing to risk and how well you can support your choices instead of it just being mandatory for everyone to have a 100%-safe boosting Rorqual in a POS.

Risk vs. reward is back and mining now requires players to make a decision. Make your choice wisely and you will profit more than your competitors. Make it poorly, and you will become content. In either case, the game wins.

Comments from Reddit today that pretty much sum it up:

Generally speaking people are just whining that they're going to be forced to risk their couple billion ISK ship, when the only way the same people who are complaining would actually 'risk' it is if you let it deploy a permanent and invulnerable POS-shield that never comes down and can't be reinforced.

and

Theyre carebear miners - they won't be happy until just owning a rorqual makes their mining barges invulnerable, and they can use it to boost from a station.

Carebears being carebears.

If someone is mining for 80 hours to just pay for a months sub it just makes me glad that I pay cash.

No worries, no stress, no time frame in which I HAVE to mine or whatever.

Just chill and enjoy whatever I decide to do, it's much more civilised. Big smile

Hello OP

Can I have the stuff of all your corp members if you quit? You don't need it anymore if you change to that other game.

EDIT:
eww too late, someone already asked.

EDIT2:
Also we learned today that you have to grind for 80 hours in the most boring minigame in all of gaming when you could just work a few minutes more in RL to pay for a sub

Every time someone creates a new thread to whine about the Rorqual on grid boosts and how much it sucks I check the dev blogs page to make absolutely sure I haven't missed a dev blog somewhere. Just did it again and guess what, no Rorqual dev blog.

You and anyone else whining about this have absolutely NO clue what is going to happen with the Rorqual. You have NO clue what CCP intends with them, you have NO clue if sieging them will even be a thing and if so, what the drawbacks will be.

So how about you save the whining for when actual information has been released instead of just assuming that the only change they're making is having to be on grid.

Gah.

People who complain abotu the Rorq never seem to mention the new miner boosting BC that will be an alternative.

As for boosts, I'll say it again to CCP: these whines are what happens when you put unbalanced stuff in the game and people get used to them as an entitlement. At this point they feel like you OWE them easy to protect, hyper effective off grid boosts....because that's what you gave them for years.

One Mackinaw orehold of Spod is worth at least 8m, so as usual a lot of hyperbole. Baseless whining does not make for a convincing case, especially not if it is outside the official(tm) feedback thread.

In real life when the game of business changes corporation adapt to the new changes, those that don't get hurn in ther financial ventures. Blockbuster had tears of the streaming business and refuse to adapt on time, and what happened they are out of the game. New corporation with less winning will adapt and make isk, markets will adjust.

I've heard that fully trained and boosted hulk mining in 0.0 gives above 250mil/hour Shocked
My alt has little above 23 seconds of cycle time on ICE mining (Covetor + T2 equipment + rorq bonuses). Harvesting Krystallos (1.25mil pu in Jita) it gives 3600/23*1.25=195mil/hour Shocked And i'm not talking about 'all V' skills and T2 barge here.....

So yes, guy talking about 80 hours of mining WITH rorq to pay for PLEX ...... What?
