Sorry about not talking about PI or going deep into Exploration, but I consider the former part of Industry, and the latter is something that Noobmans WH hall gave a lot of time to.

I'm a new player to Eve (about a week in I think), but I've played similar player-driven mmo's in the past, such as a great deal of time spent in Ultima Online about 15 years ago.

The only thing I can offer as a new player to Eve, but one with experience in Ultima Online, is to be darn sure the high-sec to null-sec divide doesn't get any larger in terms of player interaction.

If Eve ever completely splits Null-sec from High-sec, in that players are truly 100% "safe" from other player actions in High-sec, this game will become a fart in the wind like UO did when they perma-divided the world into Tram/Fel for PvE and PvP. The rule that you consent to pvp upon clicking "undock" should be kept in place forever.

There are plenty plenty of MMOs out on the market that hold the player's hand from start to finish and make sure that he doesn't lose anything. Don't make Eve that way. A jerk-off with a higher-end ship should be able to travel from null to Kisogo VII high-sec and give fresh newbie's a warm welcome if he so chooses to risk his ship for the fun of it.

My .2 cents anyways. Carry-on.
