WH Relic Sites - Mostly Sleepers Now?

I've been wandering around WH space looking for exploration sites, and it seems like there are a lot more Sleeper sites than there used to be. I took a couple of months off, and before I left, I'd say that about 20% of the relic/data sites were Sleeper sites, in WH space. Now, it seems more like 80-90% are. Did something change?

Also, if I find a Sleeper relic/data site in a WH, does that mean all of the sites in that WH are Sleeper? It would save me a lot of scan time if I could stop scanning once I found one.

Thanks.

check what class of wormhole you're in. In C4/5/6 holes, only sleeper sites will spawn.

in C1/2/3, it may be a pirate faction site, or it may be sleepers.

(just google the J-Sig of the hole you're in)

I've been checking the site names in Google, and most of them are Sleepers. I've visited about 4 C2 WH's today, and they were almost all Sleeper sites, which I didn't expect in a C2 WH.

A lot more people are doing the same thing as you now as it's become popularised by streamers and youtubers so you're just getting unlucky imo.

A few weeks ago I was in a c2 with 8 pirate data/relic sites

Having a sleeper site being the first one you find has no bearing on the rest of them, Most likely explanation is by meph and you were not in a wormhole that could spawn them

When I run WH sites at peak times I see mostly sleeper sites too, guess someone did the pirate sites allready in those cases.

It's far better when I run WH sites at low population times.

yes, yes it is.

As one who's down five Rattlesnakes and a rather swish Vargur in the last month, I have made a vow never to run wormhole combat sites on weekends ever again.

I was thinking this might be it - others coming in and clearing out the pirate sites and leaving the sleepers.

ETA: And... just after I typed this, I found a C1 WH with one Sleeper data site and one Pirate Relic site (21 mil, woohoo!).

I mean, it's not a great haul, but I've been having a dry spell all day.

Also jump into them from LS, not HS (and not populated NS). WHs with HS connections get cleaned out quickly. If you set up a base in a quiet patch of LS, you will do a lot better.
