Purity of the Throne event

"As the coronation of Empress Catiz I draws closer, there are those who consider her ascension to the Golden Throne of Holy Amarr both unjust and improper, based on archaic views that call the purity of her Udorian heritage into question.

With the might of the Imperial Armed Forces at her heel, and both the Ministry of Internal Order and Theology Council ratifying the views of the Purity of the Throne movement as heretical, bounties have been placed on the heads of their members.

The Empire is encouraging capsuleers across the cluster to strip the heretics of their colors, and wear them in support of the ascension of Catiz I to her rightful place as the leader of the Amarr Empire."


The strange thing is, that according to the above the Amarr Empire and the strongest parties therein encourage us capsuleers to blow the Purity of the Throne movement ships up when encountered, yet at the same time handing out a standing loss of 2,4% per ship while doing so.
Edit: A standing loss for the Amarr Empire faction itself.


TL/DR: Doing what Amarr Empire asks gives a standing loss with Amarr Empire.

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

The Amarr Empire is - and has always been - a snake biting its own tail. It is past time for all Amarr loyalists to forget about the petty squabbles inside the imperial court and focus on fighting against the true menace for all highsec factions alike: botting, AFK mining, and bot-aspirancy of capsuleers. Purity of Amarr's throne means nothing without the purity of its asteroid belts. And, regardless of who holds the waning power in crumbling states, James 315 will remain the Saviour of Highsec and our Saviour. Nothing can ever change that.

Maybe its because Purists control the Amarr standings control system. They must have backdoors on every computer in empire.

A neat defence plan.

And quite effective too. I for one will not do any more of these event missions as long as the standing loss is in effect. I value my ability to enter Amarr space to much. Smile
