This is a very old account I reactivated today, I haven't played in years. So what's the game community like these days? I remember rich in-game community of players that knew Eve's storyline and played with purpose. What should I expect when it pertain to propriety?

Before you let us all give you our very individually biased and polarised views, I'd recommend going and looking at all of the different ways the community interact.

The forum is only a small part of that today and in some ways, the most polarised from the community is rich to its full of sociopaths and casuals with no concern for the Lore, etc.

So hard to really provide a good answer. In my opinion it's still everything it ever was, with much more metagaming across the board, rather than just the few. The history of the game is on the wane.

OP, when you said 'played according to storyline,' I think I spot somebody from around my own generation. The way people play the game now is very different, but it's still the same game. No way to explain it, it would be like if you stopped watching TV shows a few years ago and asked for an update. Check it out, it's still way interesting. WB

Yes, welcome back to Eve.

The game itself is vastly different now compared to a few years ago, way too many changes to list. Also the general playerbase has changed as well. About it changing for the good or for the bad depends on your style of gameplay.

Anyway, hope you have a more rewarding career this time around.

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

What a fine day it was when we obliterated the Shiigeru. Caldari scum ;)

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

He means Reddit. Yep! Reddit is where the cool kids (and CCP Devs) hang out nowadays, much to the chagrin of the loyal forum warriors.

It's slightly less toxic than a radioactive waste dump. But only slightly.

Good luck.

Eve is like an addiction; you can't quit it until it quits you. Also, iderno

Hey same here.
I only recently re-activated after a 4 year hiatus.

I am interested in how CCP is gonna handle the "F2P" thing.
But I am only giving them 3 months, that should give me enough tears and lulz.

I wish I could quote everyone here and asked many question but everyone are doing just find so let it flow.

I begin playing in 2007 on an old HP computer with hiccups but I manage running multiple instances of Eve-universe. My problem was I chatted too much ingame roleplaying from storyline; inserting things I read. I trained, trained and trained but never really played. People that played Eve were matured-buttholes however I appreciated them I got the help I needed and we had fun. Hahaha Nothing like playing MMO with fifty thousand raging teenagers across different servers, of course which never happened in Eve, huh? Twisted. At least here this sandbox (free roaming world) allowed me to train and I actually did nothing else lol. Over skilled character that never accomplished anything accept chat.

Well I have much relearning to do a lot has changed. Evemon is gone, battle-clinic and other sites. Hopefully I'll remember how to fit my ships. I love to mine and run my mouth (type), So good people I'll end my babbling by thanking all of you for responding. Time to fly.
