I'll post this here because this has been annoying my brain:

How about we keep phoebe exactly as it is,(or make other changes?)EXCEPT:

(currently)When you get fatigue, you get two timers. A longer one that changes the duration of the shorter one that prevents you from jumping.

(maybe?)BUT: How about instead of preventing you from jumping; if you jump with the shorter timer active, your capital ship can't activate any modules or launch any fighters, fleet hangar or ship maintenance bay ( or balance this similar to JFs ) Until the short timer ends.

Basically, this has the exact same effect on capital firepower projection but allows you to actually GO places.

"but you can still go all over the map!" yes but the time of which when you start travelling and you can start ganking is the exact same basically. But without some headache.

Yes I am stupid, thank you for noticing.

EDIT: Ship maintenance bay locking was implied but accidentally omitted. ty.

So I can once again pack my carrier with subcaps and fly the literal length of new eden in twenty minutes?

Of course you realize that once i get to my destination i will switch pilots and do whatever the hell i want with the ship packed full of goodies, including drop the cargo off and return for more, switching as many times as i have pilots ready to do so, and do it at a citadel with a combat implant stuffed pilot waiting in perfect safety? You might not own a capital ship, but have you flown one?

If something annoys your brain, and you have never tried it, try it. The rules are there for a reason and one of those reasons is that the supercapitals were mothballed for fear of getting hotdropped by multiple forces with supercapitals that would get across the galaxy in no time at all.

Use the force without consent and the court wont acquit you even if you are a card carryin', robe wearin' Jedi.

Given that, would you have any suggestion to iron out issues in the idea?

Alts would certainly make it an issue.

it's almost as if you don't realize moving pilots was just as much a part of force projection as the capital ships were

To be clear, i was making an argument against your idea. This is because the current system, while a bother, also forces much more strategic moves. You idea exists, in a way, because my argument against it is exactly what happens, it just takes more planning and more alts.
