I will keep this brief so as not to waste too many pixels....

I understand that the special events we have seen (eg. 'Shadow of the Serpent') were designed to stir up some interest and maybe add a few more accounts to the operating budget.

Since there were far fewer new additions than was hoped for, I would like to discuss a possible upside to all of this.

For those of us who have lived on the economic and pve side of the game for years, it gave us something novel to do. EVen for the deep space null farmers, it broke up the monotony.

The point is, although you did not see a vast expansion in new accounts (recruitment), it did give the old pve folks something to do (retention).

Now that I have had the thrill of setting up a citadel, there is not much to log in for.

So, .... more please.

Thanks

I'd rather have some not-killing related events next. Shadow of the Serpent included some mining challenges, for example.

That or some exploration-related events with hidden sites you have to find and scan down. We're shooting things all the time already, time to mix it up!

events stop being events if there is always an event

you want an example of this go take a look at some of Nexon's games

yes they are fun but even if you change the event every week ppl will just burn our on events in general. the current pace ccp seems to be doing it at (allthough there has not really been enough for a conclusive pattern) is good with one every few months.

Agreed Lugh.

We need a pause between thrills.

If you want to break the monotony, get up, get out of your corner of the sandbox, head over to some other kids corner, take a dump on his sandcastle, then kick it in his face. I agree that the events are fun, but as it's been put here, they stop being special when they happen all the time.

Tbh i like all those events BUT i HATED the one where you had to do specific things compared to your "missions".

More events and sure different missions but dont limit which ones we should do each time.
Thats pretty much what drove me off last event.
