Dear CCP,

I think that both packs needs complete rework and not only because of the upcoming F2P changes.

Tons of items/skillbooks provided inside those packages are obsolete and with extremely low value to the players.
For example, you can include Skill Extractor to the Core Pack and Injector to the Premium Edition, remove skillbooks which are already trained when you open new account and replace them with some skin or something more useful etc...

Both packages should be new players first choice when upgrading trial/alpha status (apart from buddy invitation program and subs) and CCP should fill those packages with more lucrative and up to date items/services.

They do need to be updated, but skill injectors are a no-no. Let us not open the door of creating SP out of thin air.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

I agree, skill injector was a bad example.

By my opinion, Premium edition should be more pragmatic and should contain something similar to this:

  • Updated Core Starter Pack (which should include 30 days of game time, Skill Booster, couple of T1 frigate / industrial / mining ships with appropriate gear (not only Venture), 1 free skin for some of the included ships and couple of new clothing's)

  • 1 PLEX

  • 1000 AUR (instead of 750)

  • Skill Extractor

  • Unique Capsule Implant (similar to Genolution "Auroral" AU-79)

  • 3 Permanent Skins for most used T1 Frigates / Cruisers in the game (instead of BS skins which are now included)

  • Random Voucher Code for some useful (or valuable) service such as MCT, PLEX, Extractor or some unique skin / additional AUR / Implant(s) / ....

Some people will argue that it is too much stuff for 50 bucks, but these packages are designed (or should be) primarily to hook up new players to this hobby, so the "wow" factor should be also included..

I think that any skill injector/extractor related things should be off the cards for starter packs. The pack is to get you started, an extractor really isn't useful to a starting player and I don't think that it's a great way to get into the game. "Here, come and play. Also, here are all the ways that you can use IRL money to advance your cause!"

Skill boosters would be fine/good, as they help focus the new player into something specific (for that moment, I'm not suggesting that they should be bottlenecked into different careers straight away!)

Keep it to things that are useful (the skill books), things that are cool (RNG skin packs), things that are unique to that race/occupation pack (fitted ship, or at least the bits so that you can easily fit the ship yourself)

They opened that door when they introduced the increased skill points for new players.
