Hi!
Not reallly new but, couldn't find where to ask this, and help chan was not helpful with this so here I go:

Is there a way to preserves each of my toons prefs (by that i mean which windows i have opened and where are they positionned or pinned, what Icons I have at the Neobar, where is my HUD, etc.)?

If it is at all possible i would copy those files to a cloud, in case i get (another) crash.

Why would I bother?

I have autistic ways of placing my windows and what nots and I have 15 toons so yeah, it's a bit a pain to re-do whenever i get a crash (it's not that I plan to crash often but just had 2 recently, and it's something that happens. It wouold serve also if you migrate to another machine)

That's it, thanks in advance to any and every one that answers to my question.

It's in the EVE cache folder.
No clue where the default location for that is, since I moved mine (using a hard link Big smile).

In there you're looking for a folder named path_to_your_game_files and in there are your launcher profiles (if you have more than one) along with the actual cache folder. Delete any cache backup folders that are in there, they only take disk space.

When you have only one launcher profile, the folder should be named "Default", otherwise the folder(s) is / are named after your launcher profile(s). You want to copy the core_char*.dat files within.

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

You must be confused, as there are no 'toons' in EVE - only characters :)

I have done what you are asking before but I don't recall exactly how. What I can tell you is that I searched google for something like"where does Eve store settings". It took a bit of reading and some trial and error but I figured it out eventually.

There is a prefs file and it's quite annoying to copy and use on other characters as it involves renaming a long file name that consists of random numbers and letters. Unfortunately I'm on mobile at the moment but I did find a guide online on how to do it so I'm sure you can google this np

Then you should know THEY'RE NOT "TOONS"!

You have ways you prefer your windows arranged - no problem, it's not different to normal.

That "random number" is your character ID...
