Skill Trading will be completely unaffected, and in a couple of months when alpha clones hit 5 mill, they will just buy a plex, and extract at the end of the month, now that will drop the price of injectors so low it wont be profitable to SP farm no more.

i started 4 new accounts to SP farm, they are just about to hit 5 mill SP, ripe for extraction one would say, i was hoping to get my invested ISK back till winter, but no.....

and the thing is i am just doing god for everyone here, cos i buy 12 PLEX of the market every month, and give in 48 injectors to the market every month, my little bit of profit is of players that pay 600 mil for 150k SP.
that is going to be 0 profit for me in few months time...

QUESTION:
ALPHA with 5 mill sp buys plex of the market, pays 1.2 bil isk, he then trains for a month, and uses his OMEGA to cyno for example, at the end of the month he extracts and gets 4 injectors, for how much profit can he sell them for?

This angle I think they didn't see.

This market is going be freaky I gather. Boosting changes not helping. Looking at extractions myself. Loss of passives not sitting well with me. Beside grrr, dual box pve boosts I used these in the past on pick up suicide roams. Put me or someone better in the booster spot, we get some 8-10%'s flowing...all good.

We keep our roam free style and carefree not worried about bringing the link boat back home (didn't bring it to begin with lol), some boosts to help but not OP...win win really. that's going away and the new mechanics not thrilling me.

Not in a blob fleet...range (what leadership will only do now) less vital imo. Above setup...I was already in the fight. And I can't help fast tackle off grid regardless when they chase down targets off grid.

This market will be going crazy with leadership skill dumps really except for the die hard boosters. Many like me also grandfathered for CS before changes a bit back...I can still fly CS pure combat style. In short quite a few not full bore boosters may be extractor/injector speculating really.

in Jita prices:

couple of months back, when i decided to start SP farming, math was clear:
plex 900 mil + 4x extractors 200 mil = 1.7 bill expenses for a months work
in return you get 4 injectors worth 2.4 bill, profit was 700 mill per character

right now:
plex + extractors = 2 bill +
4 injectors are dropping below 2.3 bill -
profit less then 300 mill per character

January 2017:
most of alts will be on Alpha clones, the thing is you cant Cyno with them,
but with buy plex - extract system you can have omega and no limitations, for free... so then.
plex + 4x extractors = 4x injectors

we had a base line, on character bazaar, for 5 mill characters it is 2x plex for transfer + a little profit. in the future you can get 5 mill SP char for free, on free account. meaning i cant even get my investment back selling these SP farmers...

Did you calculate maximum SP amount reachable on the Alpha clone? It should be somewhere under 5M.
This concern could then easily be mitigated by making that extra plex not worth it for the SP farm purpose.
It would at worst provide a cheaper stepping stone to a running farm (but hey, self-refer yourself for free 51 day alt to do the same).

Also Crow's concern is valid, this is a feedback material, different forum group.

The real question is:

Will Eve be able to survive without SP farming for profit as a profession?


The answer is:

Yes, yes it will.


So, though this thread lacks both a feature and idea it does point out an exploitable weakness in the alpha clone mechanic and the net effect it will have on game play.

They already said alpha skills will not be extractable
