Hello everyone!

I need some insight. How can you get scanned out as fast as you land in a safe spot.
I'll make myself clearer.

Jumped in a system with ninazu, warp to safe. cloak. Or so was the plan.

As i initiated warp and left grid, an Onyx arrived on cyno trying to catch me (so far all is normal)

But as i landed to that safe the same onyx was landing 7000k from me, and seconds later managed to warp to me (i was cloaked at that point and in mouvement) at exactly 0.

Ok, some combat probes were out. But how is it possible for any cloaker to scan me so fast that he can scan, warp his fleet on grid, scan a second time so his fleet lands at 0 on me, all of this him staying invisible?

never actually, it was my first time in system, my cyno frigate bookmarked it on flight without ever going to the spot itself.

The Onyx itself had probes fitted.

The buzzard was squad warping the Onyx then. Either way works. A scan only takes 10 seconds and capitals warp slowly.

leyend sais that if you are scanned in warp, they get your landing point, maybe it has to do with that

in warp ctrl-B , multiple warp multiple ctrl-B and again between location bookmarked.





If thats the case it would make a lot of sense on what happened.


In all case, if you guys tell me its possible under drugs/rigs/ or just cheer pilot skills, thats all fair enough and well done to the pilot!

the scan system is built for this task.
so it's kinda strange it works how it should

jokes aside, people that use combat scanner probes out there regularly are very good at it.
catching a capital for them is easy af.
they can even catch things as battleships etc.

on youtube you can find many videos of this happening!
obviously it requires high skills SP but nonetheless they are very good.

Humans are creatures of habit. They also prefer the line of least resistance. This is why safe spots (which are far from safe) are often created on the disk of the two-dimensionally imagined system between a common departure point along the route of a "convenient" warp to item and to that item. Anyone frequenting a system can bookmark along the same route(s) and have this readily at hand, selecting along the trajectory upon which the prey has bolted. (You make your own luck in this life.)

Your response was...rather unclear with regard to this. I think it's highly likely your pursuer had a bookmark at the same location...more likely than that he was just lucky - or juggled half a dozen things instantly and expertly. It could just be he did his homework. SO, I just had to ask.
