My corp has been going for over 10 years. Set this up with some mates at uni and we are still bashing digital pixels.

I remember being a noob in 2006 and joining Xelas and getting owned repeatedly by Celes in fountain in all their caldari missile spamming glory. I think I still have a few celes videos on my hard drive from those days.

Hello curious warriors !

There are more elite corps from the past that i could name, but the ones i mention are not that much or not around anymore ( correct me if im wrong )

All corporations in the title where at some point known to be the best, and every corp mentioned has atleast clashed with another one on the topic list.

Myself being an ex Celestial Apocalypse player ( been member for 4 years ), and wondering whats left of the players in those named corporations.

So my Q is after 12y+ of playing, are there still some vets around from the good old times that have been in one of those corporations ?
Or maybe other ones that i forgot ?

Other very good ones still exist like Veto i think and for sure Black Omega Security, but the days where corporations could make a difference and making the headlines looks to be over.

Nowadays im wandering through cold hard space doing not much, near to hibernation, wondering where all my buddies from the past are, even enemies !

So atleast give a shout out, the new gen must not forget us and what happened in the past !!

PS im sure i forgot some other well known old timer corps, so forgive me for that Blink

Black Omega were the first people to kill me in game, way back in 2003. Then Zombie if you remember them, famous for exploiting gridlines in Yulai when it was the hub of all hubs.

I know Black Omega Security "BOS", a damn awesome corp from the past still active nowadays.
Once a member corp of "The Five" with ATUK in there also, im having contact with those fine people now and then.

Anyway i just came up with a legendary quote from an EvE player some 10 years ago, but forgot hes name unfortunatly.

"Wherever you go, there you are"

Makes sense after all that time :)

There's a few people still "around" from 2003-2005 (I'm an ex-RKK director) but many of the actual characters from those corps have changed ownership several times at least. Or in my own case "deleted, never coming back, ever" until of course I did Roll

There were (last time I looked) a few RKK characters were who they used to be (IRL) in the mid '00s, but that was a while ago.

There's a couple of Space Invaders Pirate who still play but the vast majority of the people who played a LOT in those days now have kids/jobs/lots of time pressure which Eve isn't compatible with. Some of us are now out the other side of that & have kids going to uni etc so might come back, but I doubt it.

Personally I miss seeing Homo Erectus's put-downs on the forums - he was a **** but he was an amusing and fairly erudite **** Big smile

You made it seem as if us oldies where special and the newbies should remember us for that , i was telling you that that is not the case and that like us back in the days they are creating their own adventures and stories.Where you get the 'SP discussion' from is beyond me though ... unless you're sniffing glue then sure i completely understand.

Apologies to everyone for posting on an alt, but this is my oldest surviving character. My current main is a young whippersnapper with barely 25m sp, and wouldn’t have the required creaking patina to say what I’m about to say.

This is the second character I created, btw. He was always a utility alt for my then main - which I sold years ago in a fit of ‘I want to reset everything!’. Alas, I didn’t even have the excuse of being a notorious sort. I was just in a rut, and my then main seemed trapped in that rut.

Anyway, I’m rambling. I wanted to highlight this part which I think is so true. It’s why I’m still playing. What’s amazing about this game is how each new generation builds on the last. Today’s fights and wars and conflicts have roots that go back to when this character was new. That’s the most amazing part of this game, the continuity of it.
