Hi everyone.

I have just started Eve Online. Looks complicated, but I will give it a try.

I have played around 5-10 minutes - the tutorial. Feels like I am a complete nooob. Step by step. Tutorial says: kill 5 ships, I die and next step "docking" and doubleclick in hangar to get new ship.

How to dock ?

Where is hangar ?

So now I am stuck , 10 minutes inside the game. That was fast.

Look in your overview window for a station. They have square icons. Right click to dock. When in doubt right click everything.

You may have heard it by now, but in case you haven't:
Press F12 to bring up the Help Menu. Flip through it until you find the Career Agents. They'll give you a series of missions that will help to describe some of EvE as well as give you more ships, money, and skills.

You have to open your ship and item hangars. There are a whole bunch of buttons on the left side of your screen when you dock.

The menu button that looks like an "E" should be the most intuitive path to your hangars.

If you have accidentally closed the overview (it happens) then hold ctrl tab and mouse through the choices to reopen it.

The other way to dock at a station is to rt click any empty space and then select stations--dock

When ingame, there should be a chat channel called "Rookie" chat.

This one is a special, 30 days only, channel for absolute Newcomers where GMs and the like hang out answer all the questions immediately. (Not saying that asking questions here on the Forum is wrong, often the answer is better, but it is likely not as fast as a dedicated chat channel. Plus, they can give you an individual step-by-step advice if needed).

Just dont get frustrated, EvE is hard but thousands went before you and all made it and so will you! Cool

Rookie chat can be a grab bag, if you're lucky there's a gm in there monitoring and answering but last time I threw an alt in there I was the most knowledgeable person in there answering questions,
I'm not bragging,
that's a terrible state of affairs for rookie chat to be in,
there was one other clear vet doing their best but at least 5-8 numbnuts spouting nonsense ala NPC Corp chat that we had to threaten with violence to make stop.

This section of the forums is generally better for the correct information, it's a bit slower but not by much if myself, ergh, Cara ,irah or any of the regulars are monitoring it.

I need more of this...
