You're going to break your keyboard or mouse with that much mashing.

Most likely, if you didn't have an instadock, is that your ship was moving into docking range as warp to 0 doesn't perfectly. It's warp to within 2500m.

If you did have an instadock, then ping the server and see how long it is taking for request to be sent and the response received back.

Of course, there could be a bug, in which case, bad luck OP.

Dracvlad - "...Your intel is free intel, all you do is pay for it..." && "...If you warp on the same path as a cloaked ship, you'll make a bookmark at exactly the same spot as the cloaky camper..."

Allow me to tediously clarify. I think the OP is referring to how slowly the server seems to be running, not expressing doubt as to his ability to dock a spacecraft. Correct me if I'm wrong, OP, but I'd venture to guess you know how to get into a station without further tutelage.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Everything you do is tedious. Adding the word is almost a tautology.

What's a tautology? *nervously bites fingernails*

Don't know if that's a good translation or not.

You could translate it with "redundancy".
Maybe more precise: Specifically mentioning the implied or obvious.

Your example seems perfect. :D
I looked it up, but i can never resist asking first. ^_^

*pours drinkable drink out of containment into open mouth to drink it*

.... that'd work too. ^_^

Oh... lol I thought the OP was pointing out the grammar mistakes in the docking sequence. Something else I wish CCP would fix....

In logic, a tautology (from the Greek word ταυτολογία) is a formula that is true in every possible interpretation.

Ahem.

Tautology, rhetoric wrote:

In rhetoric, a tautology (from Greek ταὐτός, "the same" and λόγος, "word/idea") is a logical argument constructed in such a way, generally by repeating the same concept or assertion using different phrasing or terminology, that the proposition as stated is logically irrefutable, while obscuring the lack of evidence or valid reasoning supporting the stated conclusion. (A rhetorical tautology should not be confused with a tautology in propositional logic.)

The german one describes it a bit clearer for laymans.

Quote:
„Tautologie“ kann zum einen bedeuten, dass dasselbe (dieselbe Sache, derselbe Sachverhalt) mit einem sinngleichen oder sinnverwandten Ausdruck noch einmal gesagt wird.

This translates into saying that Tautology can also mean saying something and saying the same again, but with a different word.

Like, for example: "dead corpse", "never ever", "round circle"*

* an unround circle is an ellipse

A circle is a set of all points in a plane at a given distance from a given point. "Round" is an adjective for all such shapes. All circles are round. There's no such thing as an unround circle.

Poor geometry understanding leads to poor choices in analogy/illustration. The Code can cure that, so let's get your permit squared away
