Why do people write insults on zkillboard when somene looses expensive ship like nyx or https://zkillboard.com/kill/55609675/
https://zkillboard.com/kill/55516094/.
And does it also make you feel good to insult somene over internet, does it make you feel strong, better about yourself or you just do it out of jealousy? Also i know part of people are just trolls, they dont ******* care about somenes loss they just write that stuff in hope to make somene angry and that is understandable.

I cant really see purpose since this is sandbox, game that you play how you want it to play, and also watch word im using "GAME", video game is form of enterntainment sooo making money to put officer fit on Merlin makes me happy, well ill do it. Lossing expensive ships just because i can afford it makes me happy, well ill do it. And its no ones bussnes to care what i do with my eve life and how.

It's not all that mysterious really.
Some people are just naturally assholes. The internet lets them express that without getting their faces kicked in.

One word pretty much sums it up: "chestbeating"

You see the same phenomena in sports.

Members of one team will talk smack about the members of the opposing team... or their fans.
Fans of one team shittalk players of the opposing team... or sometimes their favorite team when a perceived "screwup" occurs.
Riots happen because a team wins or loses... with fans brawling in the streets... setting fires... smashing up shops... etc. etc.
Murders have happened over sports.

Why does it surprise you that people talk crap online?

This belongs on Reddit. Here not so much.

The Eve forums have strict rules on posting killmails, so traffic is not generally driven to zkill from here.

However, Reddit is open season on everything and killmails are posted all the time when they are worth some laughs.

So why do people from there post on zkill? Any and all of the following reasons and more:

TEST,
the pilot dropped from PL while dying,
just for fun,
some people do really dumb things and the comments are mostly light hearted,
In game reasons as zkill is an e tension of the game
etc.

You obviously care what other people think or you wouldn't have made this thread. If you want to lose expensive ships go right ahead and just don't check zkillboard for comments.

Those guys don't play EVE, just zkillboard.

They might start playing EVE if their citadels were actually threatened.

You're partially correct about this. However, their real motive is to have a sick giggle for a second, and feel bravely witty in a twisting-the-knife sort of way. You see, it's well nigh impossible for a normal person to grasp the motivations of a sociopathic narcissist. (The US is teetering on a four-year dalliance with a real-world investigation of this.) The first and foremost rule is: They do not do anything for the reasons we do.

Just goes to show you. Even psychopaths can access the internet. However, they can rarely hold jobs for very long, and even more rarely make enough money to pay off credit cards...PLEX! There's their ticket!!

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

This game harbours that crowd in large quantities due to very little interference from GM's and very loose rules. Most other games prevent griefing, trolling, scamming and general douchebaggery as much as possible. This game actively encourages it and people who would otherwise be banned anywhere else, or be prisoned or beaten up IRL for such behaviour all flock here to satisfy their overwhelming dark urges.
It's not rocket science xD

This is one of the rare games where you are actually rewarded and pat on the back for being the biggest a**hole, whereas people who just want to play and have fun and actually have some kind of honour and dignity, and respect for others are labeled as "care bears" and "casuals"

Heck, I don't mind, but I also will not bend to some jackasses made up rules that I would have to pay to mine or fly somewhere because he and his buddies have a god-complex. I will just form a fleet with my corp and actively seek out and put the trolls out of their misery and their so called "rules" with them.

Can you actually be a sociopath and a psychopath at the same time?

Or they become upper level management because the qualities that make them "bad people" make them seem more like leaders.

I had a few bosses like that. Everyone hated them. Those that made complaints were generally fired the next day.

I hope you realize the irony of this post. You are admitting you are doing exactly what you just accused "them" of doing. So I guess it's "us" then, not "them". Blink

Because we like to share laughter when ridiculous stuff happens! It's also why we browse General Discussion. Thanks OP Lol

Also, it means you did something noteworthy and the outside world took notice. Solid proof you're not alone is this game is a great comfort is it not?

Then, it's all you have to work with, I guess.
