Test Server Feedback

Not really a fan, but I'll try to be constructive. I've settled on two aspects of the Singularity model which make it look ungainly compared to the Tranquility one, and which could probably (?) still be changed:

a) The bridge between the two engines is too far to the rear, making the ship back-heavy and oddly elongated. This also part of why the ship looks like a clone of the Crucifier.

b) The the two engines are essentially parallel, making the gap between them very large at the front and giving the model a frail, rectangular appearance from above. The old model is roughly triangular from above and from the side, a streamlined shape much more appropriate for moving through the thick goo of space.

I realize ships get remodeled for technical reasons as well as aesthetic ones, so this isn't a "keep the old one" post, but I hope the new model can be adapted more closely to the old one.

I wont be constructive other than to say leave the exec alone and fix some ships that are actually in dire need.

I really got into Eve in 2014 and quickly came to like fast ships. To this day the Executioner, Malediction and Crusader remain as some of my favorite ships, they are fast and their current design very much reflect on that, and I must say that I am happy that you (CCP) wish to update their models. However it also comes as a surprise and a disappointment.

The Executioner, Crusader and Malediction have in its current state on Tranquility a much more slick design which fit for fast ships a lot more than this new bulky design. You can fit 4 turrets on the Crusader which on the new model, three go on the sides then one on top to the side and on the bottom on the other side. To me, this feels kind of inconsistent. If there's only going to be one turret on top and one on the bottom I would expect them to be in the middle, or if you remove a set of the turrets on the sides and put them on top and bottom as well on the opposite side of the current turrets instead. The OP covered the other details pretty well. I don't think a complete redesign of the new model is necessary, only a few changes to make it look more streamlined. Otherwise I like that it is highly detailed, its rotating bits and its warp animation.

I got surprised because I've seen people for some time now ask for redesigns of ships like the Osprey / Basilisk and the Bantam / Kirin while I've seen no one ask for redesigns of the Executioner, Crusader or Malediction.

I really hope you would reconsider your design decision about these ships.

And of course the Interceptors lose their unique fin placement at the rear of the engine pylons. CCP take this Executioner model and its variants back to the drawing board please. I'd be ecstatic if you just made it nearly identical to the old design, like the Maulus redesign - that one was superb IMO.
