Of those 559 million, maybe a few thousand would actually play EVE. Of those, a great amount most certainly speak English.

You posted it on a discussion forum, people are discussing it. It's not sabotage when someone thinks your idea is flacid and meritless ;)

Ok, but we expect some solid argumentation to no think about some raccist motivations to despising the Hispanic comunity, just want to comunicate and grow like the others comunity, im not here to ban others comunitis i want my own comunity grow and get a forum to interact and meeting people. were i have to go to meed hispanic people in eve online now? were i can share my spanish guides? if i doo it in the general probably the same people asking about is not point to create hispanic forum ask about why i post in spanish?

fly safe.

Yeah they should localize EVE to Spanish and create a forum.

Where are the 559mil Spanish speaking accounts that you speak of?

The reason why German, Japanese and Russian have their own forum is because they have enough of a pool in the player base.

Also.

Not quite sure what you mean by that, but are you accusing people of being racially motivated to block a Spanish forum?

I think CCP thinks they are poor.

Look at the Japanese, they have mucho moneys. They have translation.
Solution: become wealthy, pay CCP for translation. "Mucho gracias senor" from everywhere in your direction. Cool

Have a look at fansites in your native language. I'm almost certain there are some.

Having a sub-forum here would mean CCP needs Spanish-speaking staff to maintain and moderate it. The same goes for translating EVE to Spanish. It's not trivial and it costs money.

For many of those 559 million Spanish speakers getting food on the table is a bigger issue than not having an EVE forum in their own language. Check https://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/csm-11-election-results/ as a derived measure of Spanish speaking players.

No sabotage intended. Yet as others said: Not the number of speakers of a language (thus I mentioned Hindi, Arabic and Bengali) determines the need—the player base does. I cannot imagine that there is much demand. Certainly, you can demand it, and then watch this thread. If hundreds like it and come out of somewhere and say that this is what they always wanted and tell stories of their families in Barcelona, San José del Guaviare, Aguascalientes and San Juan who have heard about this marvellous space ship game, but never dared to play it because it lacks Spanish localisation, well, you might convince someone.

I do not oppose having a Spanish localisation. I oppose the logic behind your argument.

(By the way, I am German and I play EVE in English. I find scifi related language utterly ridiculous when translated to German.)

Edit: A more constructive suggestion: Is there a Spanish forum for EVE? No? Host one—if that's what you want to invest for your hobby. (I wouldn't.) It's a first step. I think the German community had a network of volunteers translating devblogs from English to German. And this was a time when devblogs weren't just posted every six weeks and sill were about things in the game, not in Las Vegas, London or somewhere else.

I cant belive wat i read. Some people think the Hispanic comunity are un the third world but you are kite missinformet why Spanish is a extended language un USA and poor people living arround the world. I have surprised how hatters got the Spanish comunity. Im heré to improve to the forum. More diversity and more people. Sems you ones have some personal Problem. The french forum have low impact and japanesse less but sems worth. I just tink Hispanic comunity is enough to got his own space and obiusly no got own forum not help it to grow. Yes we can use fan sites... But fan site is not a neutral space.

Until losd your time to anize why spanish no deserve his forum space. try to a alize why you are intereses in destructor until construct.

Regardless of whether or not there should be a Spanish sub forum, this is not the correct way to go about it.

Put a thread in features and ideas and try not to be so defensive when people don't agree with you and certainly don't accuse them of being racist when nothing of the sort was even implied.

3. Ranting is prohibited.

A rant is a post that is often filled with angry and counterproductive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and is helpful in development of the game and community. Rants are disruptive, and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise and clear manner while avoiding going off on rambling tangents.

5. Trolling is prohibited.

Trolling is a defined as a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting other players in an attempt to incite retaliation or an emotional response. Posts of this nature are disruptive, often abusive, and do not contribute to the sense of community that CCP promote.

You really could of put some amount of effort into this before hitting submit. Locked.
