I admit. I am getting long in the tooth and grey in the beard and my eyes aren't as good as they once were.

So, is there any way that one can make the windows within Eve easy to view? At the moment all I see are various shades of black on, er, black and whilst that may be hip, cool and trendy it's really annoying when one is half blind.

Anyone any suggestions?

Hit the "escape" key -> general settings -> pick a theme that works for you....

But yeah, it is all color whatever on black...

Maybe the SOE theme?


Also make sure you slide the "transparency" slider above the themes all the way left - you don't want any transparency at all.

edit: You can also increase the font size on the left of that menu, if that helps

Escape/Display & Graphics/

Left column, UI Scaling = There are options to scale the ui (110% & 125%) bigger (and smaller down to 90%).
Combined with different theme this may help.

For the context menu, you can select different font sizes, via pressing Escape & going to /General settings.
There aren't that many options for larger fonts. But you can get it up to 13pt size.

Thanks ladies

The SoE theme is the least worst of the lot and the transparency down to nil helps a lot. The font size isn't an issue but the fact that the black on black is nothing but a pain if there's ever a little too ambient light around.

Perhaps now I can see where I am going. Typical, I am flying a ship which costs more than a GDP of a whole star system and yet it can't give me a screen that I can see...
