So....a couple of days after my wife and I renew our accounts for three months, CCP offers renewal people Multiple Character Training...if they resub for 3 months. Then, I buy a plex to convert to ISK, and CCP offers a sale on PLEX the very next day. Just once it would be nice to be rewarded for supporting the company, instead of kicked in the teeth for my loyalty.

So there are multiple reports here and on Reddit that CCP usually reimburses people who miss their promotions by only a few days. So why don't you create a petition ticket, explain your situation, and see what happens.

Even if they don't reimburse you for the pricing differences, they may add enough days to your subscriptions to make it equivalent.

In all seriousness though, It happens.

I bought a desk chair a while ago. next week it was 50€ off.
I bought a mattress, next month it was 80€ cheaper.
Uncle bought a printer. the next week it was 25% off.

etc..

Agree it's really annoying when it happens, though.

Wow, you were kicked in the teeth?

Hope you're ok OP. That sounds really tragic.

Like, I know if I bought something and got the value I was expecting, then any subsequent sale is just bad luck for me. I still got the value I was looking for, but some other people scored. Good luck to them.

But to get kicked in the teeth. Just terrible.

I remember when i bought a bunch of PLEX to start a 2nd account, just so i was able to train 2 characters at the same time. A week later CCP came out with the 'Multiple Char Training option' and on top of that a 'start a 2nd account with ..%off'.

Shouldn't focus on it too much. You decided that the price you paid at that time was reasonable and good enough for you and your lover to have fun in New Eden. That CCP throws out discounts the next day or even the next minute shouldn't bother you in any way.

If it does, well then lesson learned sir. Next time you wait for the discount season/days to begin and then you buy what you want.

Then again...patience is a rare commodity these days..

or instead of whining on the forums, open a petition and ask politely if you can get in on the deal. its really not that bloody hard to deal with

As someone who has been kicked in the teeth a few times, i would say "Nah".
Clearly you notice the times you miss a deal more than the times you don't.

Happens to me with Steam games all the time. On the oft chance that I both have money to throw around and an active interest in some game I've watch-listed for months, I tend to buy them just before they go on some random massive bake sale. As others have stated, it's just bad timing on your part. It happens, but it certainly isn't the seller's fault that you didn't wait a little while longer.

Now I can't say this with absolute certainty but I'm pretty sure they didn't plan their promotions with the sole purpose of screwing you over.

The answer is obvious isn't it? Cancel all your subs until you get an offer on your account.

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

I know how you feel. I re-subbed for 12 months on 3 accounts and less than a month later they offered rewards for anyone re-subbing for 6 or 12 months.
