i disagree since the raven shouldnt be worse than the phoon when it comes to actual combat (80% of the targets are abhacs , a phoon can deal with it why shouldnt the raven?)

The problem is that 80% of the targets are AB HACs. The solution isn't to turn all of the ships into AB HAC killers, but to nerf AB HACs until they aren't overwhelmingly overused.

Well Giving Comandships the range bonus of their t1/faction counterparts would probably bring alot of variation back (since bcs are meant to counter cruiser and on the t1 end do exactly that fairly well)

Raven really does not need more application.

It can. The raven makes an excellent anti-cruiser platform and is a good solo ship.

Ok while i donot completely disbelief your words : How is the raven a good anticruiser platform (wthout relying on vulnerable huggins/rapiers) . (Or how is it an as good plattform as the phoon?)

Furthermore how do you like the 2nd set of bonuses (basicly beef up the flightspeed to actual relevant level +maybe swap from rof to equaly strong damage bonus) ?

YOu are right it (The Raven) is a good soloship , and if i ever made it sound like that wasnt the case ...sorry

I do "interesting" things with battleships to say the least and the raven is in my book one of the most adaptable battleships out there. RHML raven is an animal in the right hands, Torp raven while much more limited makes for a good anti-BC platform and in the more outlandish examples the raven makes a downright deadly anti-frigate platform.

It really doesn't need a buff.

Well i perceive the speed bonus as to small and switching for 5%/level rof to 7.5% damage would make a indeed a awesome rhml carrier (more bang per clip(or magazine?)). Though ... the switch of the damage bonus alone would be a huge buff allready. You guys convinced me I will edit the Raven bit on the initial Post.
