Pirate Battlecruisers

These are with no doubt at all missing for ages.

An introduction by CCP of BC BPC pirate hulls based on the unique specs of each faction would be a great addition to the game and certainly would play major role on small/medium size gang engagements.

A Sansha BC would see a Afterburner bonuses Hull together with Energy weapons

A Guristas Hull would see a Drone based hull with shield resistances bonus

A Serpentis boat would see a webbing bonus hull together with a rail weapons

A Mordus Angels Hull would benefit of a warp disrutpor bonus with High velocity missells

A Blood raider Hull would benefit of a Neut/Nos bonus combined with the ones of Energy weapon.

An Angel Hull would see a high velocity ship combined with the usual angel cartel bonus.


These would be ships that with no doubt , would play a major role within small to medium gang engagements, since their unique bonus would open the field to a whole variety of new offensive and defensive tactics.

Pirates not having every single class is a good thing. It leaves room in the ship line ups for things.

They would be ******* awesome to due how powerful they would be, but obviously why introduce op ships? After all they still haven't fixed cancers svipuls yet so meh

Please. Could you be any more vague? Pirate cruisers already fight like or even better than bc's. These are just slightly bigger versions of ships we already have. This seems more like 'ships for ships sake' rather than 'a great addition to the game'.

Out of grid boosters will be a thing from the past really soon (hopefully). So or either you introduce a brand new line of ships with special capabilities for small gang warfare or small gang warfare will be reduced to hot dropping, cloacky ships, or intys... forget the rest, they will be dead meat without links.

These ships could bring some out of the box fittings capable of surviving an environment where the only advantage of raiders are the OOG's.

You mean something like a very small and mobile ship that could fit a link and maybe has some sort of projected mjd to pick opponents fleets apart a bit?

As much as it would make sense to have pirate Hull for BC,i dont think they would bring much to the game atm.

They re already T1,Navies version of BC +ABC and command ship who will probably see a balance soon enought,it seems way enought for me especially for a hull size who is already a compromise between cruiser and BS.

So yea idea is cool but ,but in my opinion that size category doesn't need more ships.
Pirate blops on the other hand would be tasty Twisted

Eh, they did make the T3D's. At this point, I wouldn't doubt it as a "maybe". I figure it's either this or T3 BC's...

Honestly... I see Tech 3 Cruisers as "battlecruisers" in all ways but name and mobility.

I think it would easier simply to reclassify T3Cs as "battlecruisers" and give them the appropriate mobility nerfs that befits the class.

Yes, please. Battlecruiser has been forgotten for a long time. Now even Capital ship has Pirate hull. Pirates should have their battlecruisers too.

That might make T3C's actually a balanced class, we can't have that....
Though it would also nicely make the T3's the 'in between classes' also, which would be too logical as well.

A few months is not a long time in EVE but CCP wants caters to players whom only stay for 2-3 weeks yolo 90357235626597412543574915 USD into their account and lobotomize skillpoints into them because dumb people will never comprehend that they cannot train a skill further than level 5.

I'm not sure there's a niche to fill for pirate BC's - or even pirate dessies - at the moment.

The dessies would creep into cruiser territory and the BC's might as well be BB's.
Also, this messes with those that actually produce ships rather than LPing them.

Want to talk about adding something useful, but not overbearing, that can fill in the Minnie/Caldari pirate hole ('Cause that's what I have trained, dammit!), then sure, but -1 for pirate BC's (and DD's) at this time.

I think this guy is right, but the original poster is on to something how about just another specialized BC 1 per faction, not necessarily Pirate. Another T2 BC for each one.

Specialised to do what exactly? What mystical role are BC missing that everyone needs for their gameplay. Rather than 'what bonuses would perfectly suit you today'

actually, CCP can create Navy variants for Ferox, Cyclone, Prophecy, Myrmidon. like Navy EWAR BC or simple Navy BC.

Pirate BC should all be obvious brawlers with absolutely NO KITING VALUE. The last thing eve needs is more risk averse kiting crap. Some of you ninnies need to get comfortable fighting in scram range.


Class restriction: max targeting range - 24 km
can not fit rails/beams/tachs/arty (any ranged weapons platform)
immune to sensor damps

Damage bonus: +XX% to optimal range damage

Speed bonus: give them the speed to run down and engage kiting ships at close range - AB bonus/hull speed bonus - whatever.


The game needs a class of up close brawlers that CAN'T be fitted out for n+1 kiting.

Pirate factions also lack a second cruiser hull that all empire factions have, and I want a fylable Ixion (that is not an AT ship).

Workarounds are not bugfixes.

Honestly Angels should switch Gallente for Caldari, there is Serpentis already gallente/minmatar.
