Question about the 10 point boosters

the date on them no matter when you unpack they seem to expire when the event does.

does this mean any unused boosters will be invalid after the date regardless of if they have been unpacked.

Clarification on this would be appreciated

These are the same mechanics as in bloodraiders event boosters. Why would they change it? To have even more bugs?

Unpacking booster to see it expired, I see nothing wrong with that.
