Probably not something everyone would want..but the ability to have your ships name on the actual ship would be great.

They Could be set to a certain position on each ship model, limited to a sensible number of characters and purchased the same way new paint jobs are (obviously less cost though).

It could be set so that if, no when, that ship is lost, the blank nameplate it available again for use on the next one.

It's a small thing, possibly insignificant in the bigger scheme of things, but for Rp'ers, it'd be quite a nice addition.

I believe this is actually currently in the works.


A Fanfest two years ago, I think, CCP Seagull Talked about adding corp logo's, alliance logo's and I think names onto the ship. However I have no clue when it's planned to be released.

Eh, ASCII art on the sides of ships is a lot better than letting someone paint their Thorax flesh tones...

Plus if it's anything like guns and other small details then you won't be able to see it until you examine the ship with "look at" at which point I dunno what you were expecting.

Yes, but then on the other hand you get giant holographic banner on a citadel above an ocean world which reads, "Floxton Paradise". Right beneath it is a billboard playing an interview with Ruby Rod

Following Schrodingers theory it would be BOTH 'Penis' and 'Not penis' until it was actually observed, at that point it would cease to be BOTH penis and NOT penis and would become EITHER penis OR not penis.Blink

I've always said that AUR for bumper stickers would be a great source of micro transaction income for CCP.

I could fork over some hard cash and get a bumper sticker that says "afk phone ROCKS!" or "PWNT by afk phone" and slap it on some deserving dudes ship and it will stay there for some amount of time or until the ship is destroyed.

CCP could exercise some modicum of reasonable censorship (perhaps the awesome and infallible forum bad word filter?) just after the hard cash is tendered. So, if I paid 1000 AUR for a "Danika is a ^&*(#$^ %#&** &*^ &%*((^* " CCP would take my AUR and then put it through the filter. If it failed they would keep the AUR and I could try again. It would implement a 'try to beat the filter at your own expense' policy.
