Hitting something with a turret is an art. To learn under which conditions you have a good chance to to hit something is far from intuitive. I suggest a module that shows the chance to hit and the average of damage of the first high slot. And it shows which circumstances have positive or negative modifiers on your chances and damage. There should be a module for high, middle and low slots and maybe even a rig. This way you can learn how to hit and if you know what you are doing you can swap it out for another module.

It isn't that hard to understand.

Know your range with what ammo you have loaded (pro-tip: always check before undocking)
In order to score good hits you want...
- to be at the edge of your optimal range (exception; with auto cannons you do not want to be more than halfway into your falloff range)
- you want your ship's trajectory to be parallel to your target's. If you can match speed, even better. If you can't, pull range.

Right, and now you tell me where you find these informations In game. That's the whole point.
Sure you can find these informations if you know where to search but it Should be In Game!

From other people?

Who had to find out the formulas the hard way?

Since that is part of the challenge in a game?

And separates "skilled" players who take the time to experiment and do the research and everyone else?

And yes... it is "easy to understand" once you do the research and get the gist of it.

So what did I suggest? That you get it spoon feeded or an option to find it out yourself? It's really stupid to find out basic mechanics of a game by visiting 3rd party websites. Same goes for fitting by the way.

May i suggest that you fit a target painter for that purpose.
Gives a 30% bonus to "hitting". Then if you are good at it, you can unfit it :)
Oh same goes for support wingmen and guidance enhancers for lowslots.
And there is even ammo that helps with tracking in most cases.

That should be enough really.

However, a module that scans the target signature and calculates speed&transversal on the fly is useful if you want to know the exact fit. But then you could stil just scan with already ingame modules. hmmmm......

Ideas are like Seeds. I'd chop fullgrown trees to start a fire.

Must try but I don't remember that this was a teaching. But at that time I had to absorb such an amount of information that I might have missed it.
