first- I am aware of incoming changes to fleet boosts.

I'm coming to the end of my per/wil map and I have decided to finish with taking two of the battlecruisers to 5 to unlock command ships because they look great.

my question is what races should i do? was probably thinking 1 armour/ 1shield

I hear the sleipneir is great but I actually quite like my ferox and drake and use them for running sites. Armour, I have no idea which race i should go with

these ships will initially be for pve purposes with a view to pvp fleet action going forward.

i have full t2 weaponry, good drone skills- all t2, can armour/ shield tank t2. i don't mind the odd bit of bling here and there

I personally would go Amarr/Minmatar for a couple of reasons. 1) you get all boosts covered. 2) you get can fit both an Amarr CS and Minmatar CS with missles. 3) good 'Cane skills

Amarr command ships give bonuses to Armor and Info, Minmatar give bonuses to Shield and Skirmish boosts.

Galantte give bonuses to Armor/Skirmish and Caldari give bonuses to Shield and Info.

So Gal/Cal covers all boosts and Amarr/Minmatar covers all boosts.

If you're not worried about full fleet boosts, I hear the Astarte and the Slepnir are both really good ships on their own.

You kinda cant go wrong with these bad boys, all the races hve at least one badass command ship.

Okay it really pains me to say this but its claymore and Damnation or go home. Though the Damnation is really sexy and I love her very much.

It depends on what you are doing.

The Slepnier - Great Solo/small gang (no logi) PVP boat. I would personally fly one over any other CS for that roll. Its fast, tanky and hits like a truck (range not so great).

Claymore is the larger fleet version of a Slepnier, better at buffer tanking and boosts that compliment a fast moving fleet.

Damnation/Cal CS - Good large fleet boosts or if you need a brick tank with the damnation being the biggest brick.

Gal CS - Fill the same roll as the Slepnier but for armor but are slower and have a weaker tank (longer lasting though). They often have a higher DPS.

Abso is like an armor Vulture but with terrible range.

Can I just ask if there is anything concrete on these fleet boost changes yet? The only thing I can dig up is that everyone knows they are happening...

Nothing concrete as of yet, Devs have said theyre working on them with the premise of on grid AOE boosting...
