Do u think that Gila is still OP?

hi there

i suppose that topic was before last nerf but i think that gila needs still rebalancing.

This ship have to big DPS for the cruiser 900dps easy to get, tank is good too.

If u compare to smaller and learger gila brothers:

Worm : 300% bonus to drones
Gila : 500% bonus to drones >> ??? its mistake?
Rattlesnake: 300% bonus to drones


I Think Gila needs 300% bonus to drones like Rattlesnake or Worm.

overheated hams wolololo

900 dps for 300m+ and get hard countered/ blobbed/ hotdropped or 600dps for 70m and have a fight, hmm....

You forgot to mention speed with t2 ab is 666m/s. Coincidence? I think not.

I know they are very common in the lowsec systems I hang out in. Almost guaranteed to see one. I dont PVP in shiney so I never bothered to look up if they are as good as people think they are or not. I probably should do my research just in case I ever have to fight one though.

i dont have nothing against ship if have 900 dps like Tornado talos, or oracle, because have weak Tank, but gila have both and good agility, and insane EHP.

CCP should compare ship to other in asame class sometimes.

Although the test I presented is arguably flawed it shows 3 ships that can be considered the same class being used more effectively than the Gila.

I like how every time alliances use a ship as a doctrine ship people start screaming its to powerful! NERF IT! They even did it back with the drake swarm a few years ago. drake is to strong NERF IT!. Dramiel is to fast NERF IT! Svipul is to OPed NERF IT! Catalyst is to ganky NERF IT!

I think people should stop trying to get ccp to swing the nerf bat every time they cant instantly counter a ship/fit instead of having a ship fit bout it.

When a large number of the major groups change their doctrine to a particular ship it usually isn't because they believe that ship is particularly balanced and fair or because it will be challenging to fly and hence improve their pilots' skills.

If a lot of groups change their doctrine to the same ship at the same time, in different regions, for different styles of combat, it usually means that ship is stupidly OP.

People do have a tendency to come on here and scream for nerfs whenever they lose to a ship but in some cases it is justified.

Svipuls are pretty silly though
They are good ships, but that doesnt mean they are OPed. Svipuls are fun to fly because of the utility and flexibility of them. They are still a bit squishy even in defense mode without logi support.

Just stop!

Stop with the "It must be overpowered for the game"..... jesus.

Find a counter, investigate, trial and error, just anything but label something as overpowered.

This way of thinking has to stop because it creates nothing but a reactive whiney player base and developers who will always look for easy fixes to things that are not broken and should not be balanced. Balance just creates a stagnant playing field.
