Ore Compression if Tethered to a Citadel

I've been mining in high sec and there's a citadel in the system I've made home in. However, compressing ore is easier at my POS than the Citadel in that it takes much less time. To compress at the Citadel means I have to go through docking and undocking. Seems like it might be worthwhile to make Citadel's as good for Ore Compression as POS's are if Citadels are to ultimately take over all the abilities a POS offers.

I'm not sure if my idea is the best way to do so, tethering seems like a logical way to offer ore compression, but of course you then have to store the compressed ore somewhere or risk letting it sit in your ore hold as incentive for getting ganked, but right now a POS is a better choice for compressing ore than a Citadel, even in light of higher fuel costs at a POS.

Or you could wait until fall when the industry citadels come to New Eden.

This is the law of ship progression!

It's called a friend in a hauler.

You mine ore.
Your friend/alt hauls ore to citadel.

Honestly, no one who actually makes isk off highsec mining hauls their ore when the hold is full. Any time spent without your mining beams active is time you're not making any isk.

If you do insist on hauling your own ore, make insta-dock and insta-undock bookmarks, they will greatly reduce your down time when dropping ore off. Insta-docks aren't currently necessary for citadels, but a 200km undock bookmark will cut a lot of time off your aligning back to where you're mining. You decelerate from warp faster than you shed the undock speed.

You are getting free compression if you don't own the citadel and the full cost is way lower then a pos for just the refinery. quit complainin about having to dock or maybe refine your stuff and support local citadel owners.
