I know the cancer that is cruisers and below rule New Eden at the moment, but I would like to jump into a battleship and go for a roam when I have a spare hour or 3.
I expect to lose ships, a lot of them, while im learning what to do and getting over the intial adrenaline rush.
Is it viable anymore, what with T3D's and cruiser spam?

Raven is what I was thinking of, if im honest, T2 rapid heavies make mince of things, only problem is cap stability.
I was looking at the marauders, Golem specifically ( love my caldari), playing about with EFT and things, you can get some crazy numbers, but thats with torps though, dont you need like 2 target painters to get the most out of them? Would that gimp the fit?

There are a ton of newish you tube vids of people doing this, just speak to uncle google :) There are a few in game chats where people will advice also, zaqq's pub and others.

You basically have to have at least dual web or grappler + web. Only take out drone boats or rapid heavies. Fit an MJD. Fit a long point, not a scram, you want their MWD left on.

Iv enjoyed soloing around with domis. Tank can get pretty heavy, and you get tons of utility, drones can make most of your DPS leaving space for neuts and even blasters in the highs. If I had motivation to fly outside of my home system, I'd be welping dominix's daily.

You'll generally lose more then what you kill, but honestly if you a solo player and concerned about Kill Eff, and Isk ratio's you are doing the wrong thing. I don't know if you mean true solo, or just you and a couple alts. I would always advise links, when it comes to battleships though.

Domi's and Geddons are great ships to fly. Domi's can be fitted with a full rack of medium hybrid and triple repped, it'll shred smaller gangs pretty effectively. The Geddon has really niche RHML fit that is nano'ed that'll work wonders on fleets not expecting it, but needs to be linked and drugged and probable snaked as well.


RHML ravens that are either Structure tanked or dual X-L Anci are fun. Kitting Megathrons will sorta work if the enemy isn't expecting it. Same goes for the it's cousin the Vindicator.

The Navy Phoon is also another great RHML plateform, The Hyperion is another brawler, You just need to look at Hyde's solo work to see how the rattlesnake is. Nightmare is really good as a dual propped or triple propped.


The only really thing that will **** on your cake are HIC's and capitals honestly.
