Our only sticky in MD points to the discontinued EVElopedia page.

We can do better than that.

I propose that in the short term we unsticky that defunct thread and sticky the SCC-Lounge thread instead. We can come up with something better later.

Seriously, though.

When the SCC thread drops below the front page, I get more emails asking me questions about trading basics. I think it helps everyone if people that land here with questions get directed to where they can get their answers.

The SCC isn't ideal for everything and everyone. I sure as hell can't keep up with multiple threads of conversation at once. But it's the best tool we have right now.

May I suggest an alternative?

Since several years ago I have created a mostly EvE Online oriented website. It's also an officially registered EvE Online fansite.

Among the various features, there's one of the surviving EvE Online trading / markets tutorials, links, software and resources collection.

It includes a link to SCC Lounge's thread but also a copy to most of the original EvE Wiki markets tutorials.

There's also a collection of some EvE Markets related websites and software.


I am quite sure it'd be a good starting point for a sticky, my collection holds most of what has been linked in the EvE Market Discussions stickies in the past and in the present.


I am also very open to add new websites and tutorials to it. Those interested into it may EvE mail me with their link and a brief description. I reserve the right to decide whether to add or not any of the submissions.

And then there were none. Here I was about to make a bitter post about how we traders and the forums in general are very neglected .


I wanted to compile a list like Vaerah's for scc-lounge's MOTD, if it could get stickied here then that'd be even better.


Perhaps if anyone has any ideas for updates or additions then you can post them here and maybe we'll be able to get the lot in a sticky.

MD is....quieter these days.
