But now it seems the negative element is gaining momentum with suspicions of it being a isk scam and being pathetic.

Oh well I did expect it

Talking to the criminal like "Leave me alone or i'll stop flying ships!" - if it is not pathetic then i don't know what pathetic is.

I'm negative for sure, but someone should make people face their own bullshit for their own good. No need for "thanks".

the hard thing is if you dont research about the game or find a group to teach you, the only way to learn is through your mistakes.

eve has one hard learning curve and its harder when your trying to figure it out yourself without someone to ask questions too, in eve dont fly something you cant afford to loose is one basic rule i would follow.

you can fit a full ship from any of the major trade hubs, jita being the main hub i am sure you can find a list of hubs and go to whatever one is closest to you.

in eve nothing is safe, even in high sec you can still get blown up ( even if the enemy ship will get blown up by concord ) even when not at war.

i actually personally think null space safer because at least there i know how my enemy is and can avoid or hunt them down.

the big point is however this is how eve is, you grind for money, you can do it hard and heavy and slog it out or you can do it smart, look it up there are hundreds of posts about making isk and tons of different ways in eve, sure a large majority will not be effective or really accessible early game but it does not take much to get there.

also know that you can decline missions, especially if they are in null sec.

eve for me has been one of the most addictive games i have ever played but i get bored playing solo and hit limitations hard in high sec for me personally.

i have dissapeared for a year at a time also when i needed a break it happens, most eve players go but seem to come back later down the line its actually amusing.

just dont throw in the towel and keep at it, if you enjoy any part of the game.

some games are just not for you, if thats the case it happened, you tried and i am sure there is another game to take up your time.

either way all the best.

Don't quit.
It's that simple.

EvE is a huge, complex Reef. Many of it's residents eat or try to eat the other residents, but there is a place in the wonderfully complex ecosystem of this game for many different playstyles. Who knows. you might eventually become one of the many types of predator here yourself. Or perhaps something like market trader or builder. There are many niches in this game, try things. ...Just always remember we're on a reef. The risk is part of what makes EvE fun.

Well I haven't quit. I purchased a plex which I sold so I have a few isk now to take the sting out of any major losses. I doubt very much I'll be a predator though heh :)

The predator/prey divide that sort of exists in other games occurs rather differently, here. It very often takes an entirely different form. Much of the PvP that occurs serves a purpose. You really should avoid writing it off categorically.
