A feature I guess for those that like cinematic stuff... but is too distracting and hurting my game experience. Hope you gives us the choice to decide if we want to use it or not. I hate the feature.

Ubuntu Mate 16.04.2 64bit // Amd A8-5600K with RX460 4GB // 6GB DDR3 // Sandisk 120GB SSD Plus // Wine Stable 2.01 // Native Linux Launcher // TS3 working // Happy to be back in Ubuntu :)

I love it. The cinematic feeling, while docking and undocking. The new secondary lighting looks great.

Do you know, on the undock, when you turn the camera, the zoom goes back to your normal standard?

Edit. I agree with what was stated in the other thread: It should be optional.

"Frauenversteher wissen, was Frauen wollen. Aber Frauen wollen keine Frauenversteher. Weil Frauenversteher wissen, was Frauen wollen." (Ein Single)

"Wirklich coolen Leuten ist es egal, ob sie cool sind." (Einer, dem es egal ist)

It remindes me of another feature CCP thought would be a great idea but turned out to be universally hated:

Unsure if I like it or not, but all I get is docking, nothing on undock, except the camera zooms a bit weird. It does seem to slow the game down a bit, as you can't do anything until the little cut scene plays itself out. But if you don't like it you are out of luck, judging by all the hell raised about the still irritatingly visible hangar vids. If CCP deems it a Good Thing then you should simply accept, and save the beating of chest and gnashing of teeth for some other bit of drama.

Forum Rep for a bunch of characters, couple corps and one seriously Lost In Space multiboxer.

Main thread here https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=486142&find=unread

and I agree with you Adara, it's needs to be optional at the very least

When citadels started showing up, I liked how easy and fast undocking was, it didnt waste time to show you the outside world and let you get going, and since this chance, before the undock animation shows up, Im shown a 2 or 3 sec black screen in which I cant do a thing and then im forced to view that animation sequence, and yes, after I click in space I can get my control back, but it ruined the experience already.

I think this should be optional, just gives us a checkmark if we want this or not. To me, even the switching ships,, its distracting, I cant focus on anything I want to do untill its over, I just cant help it, so instead of adding to my experience it actually ruins it. (I get the same problem with the in-station video screens btw, I have to manually rotate the ship so that I dont see them to keep doing the stuff I need to do) (edit: contrary to the dock/switchship/undock sequences, I like the video screens, even though they are distracting to me, and Id go as far as ask - also as another advanced option if its not there already - that a faint sound could be heard from those movies).

Ideally, Id like the game to also give us another choice, for a default camera to be implemented, so that even after undocking I dont have to again select the view that I want to have. Even to this day, after so many patches, the camera still at times gets confused, like its in hud view when its actually on orbit camera, and you are forced to switch modes so it actually catches the right one. Id think that if we could tell the game to use this or that camera as default, it wouldnt have that much trouble, or at least thats my hope.

As it stands now, all I want to do is setup my pos again so that I dont have to dock/undock unless I really have to, or untill we are given the choice....
