[SINCE UPDATE] Ratting with VNI doesn't work anymore

Am i the only one who noticed changes with NPC targeting on drones ?

I'm doing ratting with a VNI, same anom since months (angel forsaken hub), same fitting, same drones...

Since update, my drones are ALWAYS getting targeted and fastly killed if i dont ask them to return to drone bay.
It never happend before.

WTF.

I don't rat a lot, but are you ewar-ing? keep an auto targeter running or something like that

Rats have always targeted my drones. It's why I've switched to using a Gila with T2 mediums instead of a VNI with Geckos. They're much cheaper to lose. It's certainly possible CCP has tweaked rat AI to prefer drones more than before, but I personally have not seen any evidence of such.

It happened to me on some other anom. But never on forsaken Hub.
I been abble to rat while trading and managing my PI for months without taking care of my drones health.

Now they automatically get targeted after been launched... And they fastly get ripped!

Same post after each update. They're targeting my drones, so CCP must have made a sinister, underhanded change to prevent me from ratting afk.

Dude, I'm not ratting AFK lol. I'm just updating orders and launching pi cycles while ratting.
Playing in nullsec with neuts every 30 minutes : can't go afk. Maybe can you, but loosing 200.000.000 ISK for a wee-wee is not for me.


I'm not accusating anyone of anything lol...I'm asking if other player have the same problem.
I was expecting some talk about changes, but you seems to have difficulties with Human interactions.


This kind of useless answer, trying to make a point with nothing...
Maybe you think that this make you shine into a community, failling that, not beeing a looser in real life.

Are you always managing your drone to get back to drone bay as soon as they get short on shield ?
How much is your tick ?

I might stop using drone. It was already too slow to me (i'm using gecko + 2 Republic fleet Berserker + 2 Augmented Valkyrie).
The fact that i have to ask them to get back to drone bay each 30 secs will slow the whole process... I'm always spending to much time just watching my ship orbiting :D

So, time for bs ratting maybe.

Well, thanks for not helping me about eve but helping about my english learning.
Maybe should i talk to an english teacher to get help with drones.

This is normal behavior, CCP changed AI long time ago, it always targets drones.
When you launch drones, drones will be targeted in 2 seconds.
As i said before, drones are "forbidden" in missions / plexes because they will get targeted instantly so player can't really use drones anymore for pve.

No i mean i can't rat anymore with drone as they get killed in less than one minute.
That was kind of clear but your brain probably got lazy or in need of making sarcasm to feel once again, not a looser.

Actually, sarcasm makes me feel incredibly loose. You must be doing it wrong.

What is clear however, is that this fairly normal behaviour from the AI is fairly normal, in spite of your insistence that the NPCs are out to get you. I mean your drones, they're out to get your drones.

BEFORE 118.6 UPDATE:
Drones were never attacked by NPC in "Angel Forsaken Hub".


AFTER 118.6 UPDATE:
Drones ARE attacked by NPC, even if they firstly targeted and engaged me.

Go to a safe spot. eject. re-enter ship, go back to ratting and see if that fixes it

Yes they changed somthing i ratted for 3 houers today and i needet to get drones in all the time so they dident die.

Defenetly a behaviour change from rats

What may have happened is that something in the latest patch re-broke what CCP fixed 6 months ago.
