Serpentis Event - First thoughts and comments

Hey everyone,

I wanted to put up a general feedback, opinions, comments, areas for improvements, etc. place where players could post their initial thoughts on something as new as this. Things to keep this thread on topic:

1) General first impressions of the log in screen?
2) Difficulty of each site?
3) Rewards?
4) Is this event a good conflict driver; read good for PvP in low, null, wh/competition in highsec?
5) Duration to complete a site too long or short?
6) Overall newness or uniqueness to this event? Should it continue this way or try to be different each event?
7) Other comments; i.e. the good, the bad, the ugly, etc.

Understandably if you hate these, that's fine. Just much sure to explain why as I have a feeling these will keep popping up from time to time, so it's most likely in our best interest to make sure these are done right. Once the event is over, I'll post another general comments thread and see where people stand on these new events.

Seems good, love the target rich environ with Shipyards.

Only question I have and cant seem to find an answer is...

What the hell do i do with Serpentis Modified Capital Microprocessors?

How do you find the Scope Network sites? Are they in all systems? Do you have to scan for them? Somebody in the help channel said "Make sure 'beacons' is enabled in your overview" It is.

Only two things about it:


  • Lack of info what you will get from each box
  • It's too grindy, srly 50k for top box? Each one should be 1/2 of current points required so You don't need to be no-life to get all, now i'd rather do incursions and then buy that stuff on market, a waaaay better option

I couldn't figure out how complete them. I flew to a site and shot red crosses (or chevrons) and nothing happened.

It looks like the smaller sites, like the Sortie don't actually generate a "site complete" status?

I noticed I didn't get a site complete if I wasn't there really early on. Any time I got there late I didn't get credit, even if I killed half the bad guys.

Top box is a Capital BPC that's not currently available any other way.... That should be hard to get.
Or so the Dev blog indicated anyway.
