Faded Light is a corporation focused on training the next generation of EVE players in the art of PvP, working to develop their combat skills through hands-on training and mentorship while providing a friendly and welcoming environment in which to learn. Our goal is to give new players the knowledge and tools to be effective solo and small-gang combat pilots, while at the same time helping them navigate the vast universe that is EVE.

What We Offer

• Hands-on training in EVE combat basics from veteran staff
• Regularly scheduled small-gang roams around empire space and nullsec
• One or two organized campaigns per session
• Scholarships for qualifying individuals, consisting of ships, modules, ISK, etc.
• A professional environment while on active operations (and a relaxed one otherwise)
• A Teamspeak server for corporate and reasonable personal use

Requirements

• Be a new player in EVE (no alt accounts)
• Active from 2200-0200 EVE Time on weekdays
• Able to speak fluent English and use a headset, microphone, and Teamspeak
• Possess an open mind and be willing to learn lessons from staff, mistakes made in combat, etc.
• A willingness to be professional and follow instructions from staff regardless of gender, nationality, etc.
• Be a good team player with other corp members, and not create any drama
• Willing to keep busy in the off-hours by going out soloing, playing with corpmates, and so on

FAQ

Is this like EVE-University, where I have to go find a new corp after I finish training?

No, you are welcome (and even encouraged) to stay in Faded Light afterwards, as long as you remain active and keep a good attitude about you. It is our hope that over time, new players that were trained in-corp will help mentor new players that come after them, just as they were once taught.

I'm interested in your scholarships, as I don't have much ISK to my name at the moment. How do I qualify for one?

In general, by being an asset to the corporation - that is, active, with a good attitude, eager to learn, and so on. Several have been set aside for new pilots, and consist of a number of fully-fit ships that you will find useful during your first weeks in the corp.

What age range of players are you looking for exactly? How new is "new"?

I would say "a few days to a week old" would be the minimum age that we're looking for. However, if you've completed the tutorials, and know some basic skills (such as how to set a waypoint, buy / sell on the market, etc.), that's fine - we can handle anything else that comes up in-corp.
