" Sabotaged ammo found in loot. "

This could lead to low quality ammo discussion ;
to take place of "sabotaged ammo" completely.

So now at times the guns need your attention to start shooting again after it* cleared itself of damage / damaged-ammo.
* it : turrets.

Benefits : Bott hunting ?
Benefits : Real , Roleplay , ... .

Again paraphrased to ammo can have quality, and sometimes that quality makes it go poof instead of boom in the turret .. which causes damage to said turret and / or simply ejects broken shell for new ammo shell.

Sounds like a tedious nuisance.

Sounds like a Minmatar problem.

I really don't see what this adds to the game

Wouldn't work with the way the game currently treats stacks of ammo. You would be able to immediately tell that the ammo is different because it won't stack with your 'good' ammo, and would have a different item ID.

Also seconding all the people saying this doesn't really add anything to the game. It's just a tedious annoyance that, at worst, discourages people from looting T1 Ammo from Missions.

Also what kind of pirate leaves behind a trap that goes off only if it happens to survive *the destruction of their own ship*?
