Any trick to force update of skill sheet after skill point extraction?

As subject: extracted skill points from two of my old characters a few days ago. Expected the skill sheet to update but it is still showing all the skill points in the skills that were extracted. Both characters have skills queued for training, realised perhaps the skill sheet might be updated only if the queues are paused -- tried this and did not appear to trigger an update.

Is there a known workaround for this issue?

Several days since the skill point extraction, skill sheets still not updated they still show old total skill points and old skill levels. Tried pausing the queues, changing ships, undocking, creating new API keys and nothing worked. Have not tried a jump clone.

This is the right forum to mention this issue, isn't it?

Even though skill points were extracted from my characters, still want to train them. It is very weird in EVEMon having negative training times -- skill sheets are telling EVEMon a skill is fully trained, actually the skill points have been extracted and the skill is being trained again to the minimum necessary that is needed.

There appears to be no rhyme or reason with how skill sheets are updated post-extraction. Other players appear to have had miraculous interventions where their skill queues are actually updated there is no explanation how or why. My guess is that from time to time someone at CCP manually intervenes and runs a batch update ...

Glad to read any insights in to this issue as it effects characters that are still going to be trained, characters sold on the bazaar, disrupts 3rd party applications who get conflicting data.

Tried a jump clone to see if that has any effect on either total skill points or already trained skill sheet but nope, same old same old. Reckon it will take a divine intervention to update character stats on the API post-extraction. Or a CCP dev ... Blink

Is the EVE client correct? How are you checking the skill sheet? Is EVEMon reporting incorrect values? Or are you using XML or CREST directly and those values are wrong?

Use EveKit ! - Tools for EVE Online 3rd party development

The EVE client is showing correct skill points and skill levels after skill point extraction. I used the API Testing tool built in to EVEMon to look at character sheet and skills, both show skill points in skills above the levels shown in the EVE client. EVEMon is showing the values imported from the XML API, the API is returning incorrect values for skill points and skill levels.

I suppose the API holds a simulation of character data from TQ, TQ pushes skill updates to the API but there is no trigger to push any updates to the API when skill points are extracted. TQ pushes minimal data to the API to keep it efficient. When skill points are extracted there does not seem, at the moment, to be a trigger to incrementally update the API.

And so, the API becomes out of sync with character data after extraction, this is my summise.

EVEMon is correctly interpreting the data from the API, the data is wrong. For a skill that had all the skill points extracted and being trained from new again, EVEMon can show negative training times! This is not a bug in EVEMon, however. It's actually kind of a miracle that EVEMon does not crash when presented incorrect data by the API.

May be triggers need adding to extraction process to update the API?

I think someone at CCP may have been working around the issue by manually updating the API with skill data from characters that have had skill points extracted. Other players have noted the API out of sync for a few days after skill extraction and then miraculously, the skill data was up to date. Obviously, this manual intervention has not been run more than a week.

Well, both the characters API information was updated not sure if that was today or yesterday. Two-three weeks after the last extractor was used. I did not do anything special, so presume this was a manual "batch update" intervention.

Yeah this is an issue but it seems to be inconsistent. By chance did you have an billing/account payment event happen in the last day or two?

Nope, billing both accounts is due after approximately a week from today.

There was the monthly update to game, that was at the same time.
