30 mission running player bots in Golems/navy ravens in 1 system?

I've found about 30 suspicious mission running characters in 1 system, about 8 jumps from Jita. I've seen them around for months but never really noticed just how many there were or the common theme of them re-using their character names to come up with some dumb corp name.

1. They all have weird names.

2. They all are in 1 man corps and the corp name is basically a variation of their character name in some way.

3. They all have 5.0 sec status.

4. All using golems or navy ravens.

5. Never seen any of them talk.

Do mission runners normally create a 1 man corp with a variation of their gibberish name as the corp name or have I stumbled onto a large operation?

Updated: There is at least 30 of them. All in 1 man corps created in Jita with every one of them being in a corp that is named as a variation of their character name.

They're almost certainly mission bots.

It may be the same guy or multiple guys.

The best thing you could do is to contact customer support so they can investigate the system. Do all these characters have a similar age? And if they were bots and they are there for months, CCP or someone else must already have noticed them as bots, unsless that system is a rarely visited low sec.

i'm REALY miss the old stuff.

'Tchee' is not weird?

Two birds with one stone - let us punish those who have accumulated space money legitimately (for we must presume innocence, as only CCP can verify anything to the contrary)

I guess I and something like 80% of EVE players must be bots, too.

My point being, nothing productive can come of this thread, except maybe if you decide to gather some friends in Tornadoes and gank them, or otherwise bait them. You see, and as i said, really only CCP can determine whether these (this) players (player) is doing anything wrong: as players ourselves, we simply don't have the tools (or the authority, for that matter) to determine guilt or innocence.

My advice would be to file a petition, and let CCP do what we pay them to do - for them to sort it out.

Wardec them. All of them. Send the info to Marmite with the names of the toons/corps and the system.

Or do it yourself.

More than likely it's just a player using ISBoxer rig.

As others have said, there's no need to make a thread about this and there's no rule saying characters have to talk in local chat or be in a corp with more than 1 member.

Now if you think someone is violating the EULA then just submit a Support Ticket.

Other than that, just play the game the way you wanna play and let others play the game the way they wanna play.

Scan them down, and steal mission specific loot from whatever wreck it's in. They'll spend 45 minutes slowboating between wrecks trying to find it before warping off. 45 minutes is all the time in the world to organize a big 'ol suicide gank.Big smile
These mission bots tend to be fairly well fit, it can be very profitable (No Kill mails). Make sure you ship scan them first though, gotta find their resist hole.

Edit: No Kill mails may be posted outside Crime and Punishment. ISD Max Trix

So you think 1 player using isboxer is playing 30 completely independently active mission runners in Golems and Navy ravens?

There's a report bot option on the drop down menu isn't there?

Right click their name and report. Done.

Not today spaghetti.

If you had bothered to do some research first you'd know a player using an ISBoxer rig can control more than 30 accounts. However that's not the issue here. You think there's a violation of the EULA / TOS Policy happening which you should have just reported it instead of posting this thread..

Don't know why you're so bent on this anyway? Did they storm into your mission area and steal your loot / mission objective ? Did they scan down and complete all the Exploration sites within a 10 system range while you were doing exploration ? Did they gank your ship or declare WarDec on your corp ?

I'm gonna say no to all of the above. Seems to me you should just worry about playing your own game instead of worrying how others are playing theirs.

Well, I guess it's a good thing my friend the mission runner has a sec status of 5.87 lest she be considered a bot. Straight

Every single of the original 30 characters I found and added to contacts appear to be offline as i can't find them running missions any more. First time i've seen them dissapear.

Now there's a dozen or so new ones in local, all created within the last 5 months. Mostly created in April/May, with several being created on the exact same date. All in navy ravens.

Same story, all in 1 man corps, gibberish character names and the chosen corp name includes the character name in some gibberish way.

Some are less than a month old and have 5.0 sec status already.

Chances these are not a bot farm, i'd say slim.

I just got one of the navy ravens jammed on the station for about 30 minutes, he just stayed there, stuck, trying to warp. After 30 minutes his ship eventually got around the station and warped to his mission.

I highly doubt that happened.

Doing any type of EWAR against another ship in High Sec would have gotten you Concorded. Also the amount of security status gained is dependent upon the type of NPC destroyed every 10 minutes or so.

Anyway, I grow tired of this thread, it's nothing more than a rant.

Hey There,

You can report a player for Suspected botting by Going to a show info Page on the Player in question. From there simply right click the little box on the top left of the window and hit "Report Bot" Or some other button akin to this.

Never abuse this on a player that you simply don't like however, as its heavily monitored and offenders are punished.

As this answers your question, and as this is not the right place for this thread, I will go ahead and close this now.
