Ok, so I've just lost 80 million selling a module for 80000 instead. Yes I know it is my fault but the reason this happened is because I typed in all the numbers correctly, but the stupid game decides to drop a decimal point in the middle of the number for no reason and yes I should've checked after the sell window was dehighlighted, BUT I did check after I had typed the number and it was correct.

The number formatting is completely stupid and should just be removed, it's absolutely useless is like a scam to be honest.

Obviously you didn't.
If you had typed in 80000000 it would have turned into 80.000.000,00 which is still 80 million.

The game adds .00, it doesn't throw the decimal in after the last two digits.

If the game did throw it in at the last two digits (which it doesn't, and the several million orders that happen each week can attest to that), your 80,000,000 would have become 800,000.00, not 80,000.00

Face it: you messed up and it's entirely your fault.

I was going to comment on exactly this, but i see you've covered it nicely.

Human error, nothing else.

OP, a permit costs 10M ISK per year so send 1000000000 ISK to me. Be sure to add those two extra zeroes at the end to handle CCP's decimal point insertion feature.

I said it was my fault twice in my post, are you blind or something? I also had the correct number in when I checked, there was NO MISTAKE. I'm also not after a refund, it's amazing how people on this forum flame you for things you haven't even said! What a bunch of idiots.

So...

- it was your own fault (by your own admission)
- but somehow it wasn't a mistake
- apparently you checked it and it was correct
- but it was your own fault (by your own admission)

Why don't you learn to read correctly. I said it was my fault for not checking the price before I clicked the sell button, I checked before it reformatted itself and it was correct. Don't try to act clever because you just make yourself look stupid.

There is a way to make sure the formatting is correct before you sell: have the order length open and go to that field. The game will show you the sale price before you hit sell. I am not sure how you have that set up, but I have found it has caught a lot of inadvertent sales adventures for me.

I once sold a Deimos for a tenth of the price, losing well over 100m in the process
My mistake. I learned from it. I moved on

It`ll never happen again

CCP cant do anything for me if I don't check my figures before clicking ok

Edit: Loucxious Leopold has good advice.

Go away pest. I know the difference between 80000 and 80000000.

Wrongly anticipating something does not make you stupid. I know you have got nothing better to do in your sad little pathetic life than chime in with your unwanted, useless comments, but maybe go and do something with your life for once instead of trying your hardest to make everyone else's a misery? Just a thought.

I know it's too hard for you stupids to fathom, but I wouldn't bother going to all the trouble of making this thread and arguing with you trolls if I typed in 80000 instead of 80000000. Do you know why I wouldn't do this? because there would be no problem and no point, I don't gain anything from doing this.

Maybe you guys should start using your brains instead of making stupid scenarios up in your heads and then commenting on them. How is anyone supposed to report a potential problem if they get attacked by a horde of virgins on the forum everytime they make a post.
