Ratting in a Pirate BS only gives me 30m/hour?

One of your problems is your using sentries. Sentries suck for ratting. Heavies are far better for killing rats. I use heavies to kill everything when ratting. They have better tracking and better damage application and its faster than switching drones in and out. They also tank like a dream. So i fit less tank and more damage mods.

Support skills and experience matters when it comes to efficiency.

150 mil is on the high side of running havens. I would say with a good fit and experience if your grinding expect around 90 million. 150 mil is more doable for sanctums . Plexing can net you a couple hundred million or more per hour.


But if its taking you longer than ~35 minutes to run a haven in a snake you are extremely inefficient.

Anyway regardless I still shudder of the thought of using a carrier to rat in so will go back to my good old usual of flying around trying to catch stuff because ratting is dead boring.




Nidhoggur in Forsaken Hubs has just enough missile salvos to kill any non-BS, and has a few left for the last wave. 70m ticks if done properly.

OP.

If you want to make ISK, just join TEST and steal their treasury.

Might take some time, but the ISK/hour should be well over 100 mill+............

Your friends were liars and i knew this would happen with sp injectors coming into play.
People want endgame content NOW NOW NOW and get huffy when it's a little different in outcome.
Not everybody replaces sp with faction everything, not everybody buys their way to advancement, but the desire to do so has allowed both isk and sp to be removed from the economy.
T2 ammo on rats? Just don't.
inb4 people who make a billion an hour solo afk in hisec.

I rat in a thanny and 50m ticks are about the best I can do. 100-150m per hour is more reasonable from what I've seen. Can do 25-30 ticks in the rattlesnake. It sounds like you are missing some drone skills or something, I have 14m sp in drones.

AFAIK, in a snake you should use either kin or therm for every rat depending on the rat because even at level 2 gallente BS one of those will do more damage than the primary damage type.

I make almost triple that in my Nightmare running Sanctums. Do you have nullsec space you can PvE in?

At a guess his problem is technique/knowledge and any of :

- there was a tick pending when he checked
- he mentions an MTU; he may have spent ages farting around with these
- he may have doubled-down on that and tried to salvage
- he may have missed a lot of important drone skills when injecting; if his '1000dps' is mostly his fury ammo he's applying **** all
- had his drones set to passive and wasn't pressing F
