What in the hell has happened to loot in nullsec? I just ran an angel haven, had an MTU out. ONLY 86,000 isk, yes, that's right, 86,000 isk, of loot was dropped. Can barely but a script for that. And that's a friggin haven??? I killed many, many battleships. What is going on? It's not worth my time to salvage the site at this point. Got a whopping 2.18 mill in salvage.

Is this intentional, or are loot drops completely F'd?

Probably a bad time to mention that last night I got 2 10/10 escalations and 3 faction spaws playing with 2 toons for 3 hours. And that one of the faction spawns dropped an Omega implant worth a billion isk lol. Sure, doesn't happen all the time, but that's what makes a good drop special.

Been farming anomalies off and on since 2009 and I never bother to loot and salvage, the isk in anoms is in faction spawns and escalations, looting/salvaging costs you more money that it earns in the long run.

I've been around since 2009 but I've never seen such crap loot (except from drones in the dronelands). I would agree that isk is in faction spawns but most of the time out here they are dropping ammo, and that's about it. Very few faction spawns have dropped more than 10-20 mill, and maybe once someone got like 75 mill. In a month.

In Providence we were averaging 15-25 mill in loot/salvage per haven. Here in Immensea we average around 3-5 million.

But the salvage isn't what I'm concerned with, it's the actual loot. Out of entire Angel Haven, lots and lots of battleships, cruisers, frigs, only 2 ship modules dropped, a shield extender and I think it was a rocket launcher. 4 types of ammo at 100 per stack, and that was it. Like 20-25 battleships. That's all that dropped. That seem off to anybody else? Because it wasn't that long ago that the usual drop for a battleship, in JUST loot not including salvage, was 500k-1.5 mill.

you sure MTU didnt eat your loot? My MTUs can sometimes eat loot, you need to redeploy 'em and scope em for them to spew loot out :), happened to me last night.

Doesn't get wrong when literally 2 modules drop. Honestly I've been around 6 years, I've got a pretty good idea of how that works.

Ya I'm sure. I don't know wtf is going on. Something has to have been broken, no way this is intended.

The was just this week, What's even funnier is that last week I had the single most improbable situation I've yet had in EVE,, more improbable than the 2 officer spawns I've had so far (one 4 years ago, the other 2 years ago).

Running havens, the 1st one spawned a DG battleship that dropped a DG web. The very next haven spawned a BG battleship that dropped a DG drone damage amp and THEN escalated to a 10/10 MAZE. And the MAZE dropped a Rattlesnake BPC. The odds of that chain of events must be astronomically low, and yet it happened.

But what also happened was the 34 havens in a row I've done in the same space in last month the spawned noting but couple of guristas dread and a few 'ammo and tag' DG battleships. I've been doing this long enough to understand that that just happens, and that there is not big CCP conspiracy at play. It's a simple random number generator at work.

I have seen this before awhile back ago super crapy drops. I just started running sites again a couple weeks ago and i have noticed the drops being pretty crappy. done a bunch of deds with only the box to show for it this past week it seems worse. Im only doing the 7s 8s and 10. All these are in null being that im not getting them as escalations im out scanning for them and they seem pretty hard to find for some reason. I cant tell if people are just running them or there arent many spawning. I literally go scanning for an hour or some with another person until we find a ded. I use to find a ded pretty quick id say 1 in 8 or so systems ill find one. Now it seems like 1in 20 or more at times. Im doing them in sov space not npc null. I also went through like 11 systems with no sigs at all 5 of them were all linked but in the same area had 10 with no sigs i even re logged just to make sure and double checked that i had scanner on show all.

That's very interesting, I was hoping it was just some kind of hiccup with angels. Sansha are dropping considerably more. TBH my guys that ARE playing 4-8 hours per day are getting faction SPAWNS, but the loot is almost always ONLY ammo. Honestly it is not worth salvaging sites at this point unless you are looking to use the actual salvage. At 2-5 million isk per site, you're better off just continuing to the next site. If you're salvaging with an alt it's fine I guess, but even then seems like a waste of time.

It would be nice to hear from CCP on this. If they are intentionally lowering drop rates of all loot (not just faction) in preparation for players making all metas and such, then they should at least raise the bounties. Salvage/loot was always a big part of ratting, providing a decent amount of income for the extra work. With that going out the window, seems they are nerfing isk making. Which is fine for the space-rich folk, but for the broke or new dudes, just makes life harder.

I'm not space rich, but I'm doing fine. I'm definitely trying to get the observation out there to get noticed so we can understand what/why this is happening.
