We haven't had this discussion yet on the new forums.

Apparently you DO own your wrecks.

I have always been relatively confident of that, now I am certain. Discuss.

But, just in case, the contents of said wrecks are owned by destroyer of ship that is now a said wreck. If non-owner of said wreck attempts to extract said contents of said wreck, owner of said wreck may fire upon aforementioned non-owner.

However, the said wreck is salvageable by anyone, white, yellow or blue (the wreck is that colour, not the player). Whether you ask or take is irrelevant.

I have literally seen it contested hundreds of times, so I posted the relevant text from in game.

The forums seemed like the best method to communicate the information.

You own your wrecks. You do not own any salvage obtained from them, unless you salvage it yourself
