Dailies... Lose the 22 hour reset and just have it reset at Downtime.

Please do this. Not sure what the reasoning is behind 22 hours but you should really just tie it to reset at downtime for those of us who are more erratic in our play times and availability... and the sake of sanity as it is a predictable and reliable marker.

Id rather it be at DT as well. Hate trying to remember timers. Do good to remember the next op timer.

I agree, a lot of stuff resets during downtime and it's an intuitive marker for many of us.

all well and good for those of us with free time near enough mid day gmt but **** the rest of the world right.

i would benefit from this no end personally as i could pop on after dropping the kids to school and get my two days worth but thats not exactly fair now is it.

letting it reset at dt lets everyone do it at a time best for them



however ccp wont do this because ccp wants you logged in. 22hrs mean you need to get on two hrs earlier every day and every minute you are not on you know you are losing sp. They took the toxic nature of dailies and brought it up another level.

Considering I log in everyday anyways, they already have a count for me. However, the problem is I have an odd schedule so I do not always log in at the same time of day. DT would be fairest to everyone and fact is: PCU will still count someone as logged in that day regardless of whether it was 1 hour before DT then 15 minutes after DT. Does it matter if the PCU gets a full 22 hours before the next logon from a different account.

Also, if it was purely PCU driven, they would not have limited it to the first character on the account to kill an NPC.

DT serves everyone, the customer in particular, the best.

what do you mean by limmiting it one per acc they get more acc to log in as people with 20+ acc will be more likely to log in.

by doing it every 22hrs it is more lilkely to force ppl on during times they normally would not. They don't care about you getting on when you normal would you will do that anyway. PCU is not daily log ins it is the peak number of logins over a given time so the more times you are on that day the better the chance you will be on when more ppl are on raising the pcu.


they don't care about fair. hell just look at how they did it. Pilots who live in npc null need to take a standings hit if no drone spawns are up

this change was to serve the company not the costumer

I mean: they currently only allow one character to collect the bonus per account. If you log in and try to collect it for the other characters on your account, you will find the timer active and counting down from the time the first killed an NPC.

Not asking for them to be sensible guarantees nothing will change.

So I am asking. Regardless of your skepticism.

For some, normal is quite irregular from others who log in at, say, 4 PM each day and play.

If my motivation for logging in were tied to the dailies, then it would actually hurt CCP's PCU Since there are days I play 5-8 hours earlier in the day from the prior day then won't be able to sign in before DT.

It is fairer to the players overall to have the time set to downtime than it is some arbitrary 22 hour time period. In the case of DT: there are no loses: CCP still gets a daily PCU count as people will log in for the daily then log off when they choose to.

Still don't get why everyone acts like the oldest sibling just got a better toy than all the other kids.

That being said, I see your point and you are right that having the 22 hour system is fairer to some and less to others depending on their logging routines. Tying it to downtime does make better sense in this case, come to think of it.

And, no, I'm not the oldest in my family...in case you were wondering by this point.

yes witch is why they are able to do it on all their acc rather than all their toons on just a few acc

but you are going to log on when you normaly would anyway the dailies are to get you to log on when you normally would not.


besides the main argument for why these were good was because ppl who are on more should be better off

so it is only fair that the guy who can log on every 22hrs should get more sp then the guy who can only do it once a day

Problem with a fixed reset is that someone could run their daily just before DT, wait until the server is back up run another one and skip the next day.

Daily means a 24 hour interval between opportunities. CCP have kindly reduced it to 22 hours to avoid creep.

Exactly. If the goal is to encourage people to log in at least once a day, then the game should be flexible enough to allow them to log in ANY time during that day.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

they are allowed any time the want to, but the goal is to get them to log on when they normally wouldn't. the 22 hr does this

If it was a 24 hour timer, you would have to log in later and later and later each day. You are stuck in the old jump clone problem of your CD ending when you are done playing or even after it maybe. A 22 hour timer mean you can log in at the same time each day and still get it. Of course, player who feel the need to maximize it now feel they have to log in earlier and earlier. It effectively "creep" backward instead of forward now.
