Your cause, being from Test and starting this Reddit thread, is "look how awesome Reddit is yo". You've been championing it throughout this whole thread.

I'd hardly call responding to erroneous statements championing.

How damn hard is it for a redditor to follow some forum rules? I keep swearing and calling people retards on this very forum and a few sub forums and I have yet to face the mighty ban hammer or any suspension. The rules aren't harsh at all...

I'm both a regular on the forums and on r/eve and then also on slack and I occasionally jump into eve related tweet discussions.

Why should anyone be limited to only 1 platform or why should any one platform be superior to any other? They are all social platforms, so more power to people no matter what platform they find most useful. It's not a PC Master race thing.

Because of the draconian moderation on eve forums. That's it. The mods have every rule to cover any excuse to close a thread. Reddit allows free speech ccp doesn't

EVE-O forums has very uptight forum moderators who were sometimes proven to still hold allegiance to some of their alliances (they are players).
EVE-O devs do not give off the impression that player feedback is needed or accounted for when deploying stuff even though the community has helped in testing and finding abusive stuff in SISI stuff.
More so, if your language is not particularly nice, you risk getting moderated.

EVE-O also pretty much killed the old CAOD that kept ppl interested in the game, in what was going on in EVE and this is why a lot of ppl migrated to other places like the site who shall not be named (the one with the octopus logo) and SHC (when it was still alive).

Right now, you will learn more about EVE by reading reddit .... apart from future changes and some pve/industry/trade stuff, which are still active subforums.

Agree with this 100%. I had a good thread a few years back which had people on the edge of their seat. I was told by the moderator to hurry up and get to the point, My argument was that it was a real-time story where someone was given 48 hours to pay the ransom, talking to this particular moderator was like talking to a brick wall in all honesty.

My thread got locked, and what do you know, someone else makes a thread with exactly the same name and guess what it doesn't get locked.

I'm sure stuff like this has happened many times and this is the result, a forum where the players of the actual game aren't really that interested.

Go ahead and delete this factual post.

If reddit wasn't so awkward to navigate, follow threads and participate in discussions, I might check it out more than once in a blue moon. And only then for topics banned here, which thankfully doesn't happen all that often.
