I have come back after 2+ years away and my corp are currently in Amarr Empire.
My standings mean I am killed on site -9.66.

Can anyone advise how best to improve the standings?

Diplomacy skill is the first thing you need to train to decent level, and follow the Plan to improve the standing. It will take quite a while from almost -10, I believe.

Even with Diplomacy V, they're still going to shoot you on sight (so don't fly anything sluggish).

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

That's the best and easiest way to raise your negative Faction standings.

Diplomacy lv 5 will raise a -10.00 standing to -6.00 standing. From there it won't take very long to raise it above -5.00 standing if you follow the steps listed in 'The Plan'.

Hope you have lot's of luck and much success.

Join corpmates on level 4 missions for standing might be another alternative?

I would, but my corp is currently rebuilding and everyone is in Amarr space. Hence building standings to above -5.00 so I don't get shot on site. :)

sister's of eve epic arc also gives you a big boost to faction standings without hurting the others. I believe it's doable every 3 months

Also, use the tsca if you have the iskies. Lookup Imiarr Timshae, he will arrange someone to run missions for you to build the standings up

Depending on your caldari standings, you could run missions for the caldari, and derived standings from the storylines will also raise your amarr standings.

You just run the risk of getting blown up when you go to amarr space, and for the soe arc, it's a toss up on whether it's worth it.

Speaking of which... I do all the epic arcs every 3 months, rl allowing. The only one I hate doing is the soe one, cos it takes so long with so much travel for so little reward. So I look to do it as quick as I can. Originally I thought I could do it quickest in my ishtar, then I ran it in a travel fit dessie, now I'm doing it in a travel fit interceptor. I'm now contemplating whether a dramiel would be even quicker, with an ishtar parked in arnon for the last two missions. Anyone else have any opinions on fastest ship for the arc? I know I'm not exactly going to shave much time off the run, but even if it saves me 5 minutes it's worth it...

Wow, I can't believe I'm saying this but it's been a while since I've ran the Epic Arcs.

When CCP first added the Level 1 SoE Epic Arc to the game, I did it with my Rifter and after a couple of runs I started using a Force Recon Rapier to complete it quicker. Course this was before CCP changed the Rapier with Ship Tiericide.

With the addition of Level 4 Epic Arcs, I used a Loki to run them and if I recall correctly also the Level 1 SoE Epic Arc. I distinctly remember using the Loki on the Minmatar spy mission with the large Angel Fleet in order to collect all the bounties available. I don't recall if it was just for that specific mission but I do know I was trying to run all of the Epic Arcs as quickly as I could..

Hmm travel fit t3c might be a contender. I can only fly Proteus atm, which is probably the worst of the lot for this particular task, but it won't take me long to skill up for the others if I can find a worthwhile fit. But maybe a t3d also? I'll look into them as well.

In all honesty tho, would it be quicker for the entire arc, given the sheer amount of travel required? Inty and dramiel are quick and agile, and still more than enough for the combat bits (except whotsisname and doodah at the end)...
