Are Hurricanes pointless?

With the introduction of tier 3 battlecruisers is the Hurricane now obsolete? It has been surpassed in all areas (DPS, speed, tank, and range).

Hurricanes now do middle of the range damage, have average tracking, short range and aren't considered speedy when you stack them up against the other battlecruisers. Making them useless to fly.

Srs answer, all the other BCs lack in one or more of the major combat areas. While the cane isn't the best in any (aside from neuting) it is very good at all of them.

I honestly think the guy is this clueless regarding Minmatar ships. He recently made a comment about SFI's being unable to use armor fits outside AHAC fleets.

@OP. Hurricane is a damn sight cheaper. And still works well. As for short range...how much range you need when flying solo and you want to point something?
